I agree, Texas has almost unlimited resources, they paid their back-up QB $10 million for 2 years.

If Layne stays, great if he doesn’t, Ole Miss will be fine without him. There’s so much more to Oxford than Layne Kiffin ever thought about being.
This reads like the rationalizations of an overweight 40 yr old wife whose husband just walked-out with a 28yr old bombshell.

Insane they have not won a national since 2005 and LSU and UF have both won multiple. Since they have so many resources...begs the question..the hell is going on?

A UF fan should stay away from this line of questioning.

1) National championships were not the be-all, end-all for most college football programs for most of the history of the sport. The "one true champion" focus really came into existence with the 1997 national champion split. Prior to that, teams split championships frequently, and many teams were more focused on other goals. This is not to say that certain programs didn't prioritize national championships. I cannot say if Texas was one of them.
2) Texas is all hat and no cattle. Many - and I truly mean many - of their wins come against inferior competition. They spent damn near a century beating up on teams with all-time losing records or damn near close to it. I'm referencing Rice, SMU, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas, etc.

Frequently? It only happened 10 times before 1997 - unless you are now subscribing to the Auburn thoughts on being National champions.

Lane is only 50? White folks got to get out them warm climate states. Dude is going to look like a King Ranch passenger seat at 60.

Buchholz high school is one of the top football programs in the state. The high school is also very highly rated for academics.
Can a school in Baton Rouge even come close? Very doubtful.
LSU has a private high school located on campus, University Lab High School. Quite a large number of college players have come through there. They've won state a handful of times the last 10 or so years.
So yeah, there is a high school that can come close, and it's located on campus, just a short walk away from the coaching offices.
Kind of a silly question regardless of whether Kiffin ends up in BR or Gainesville. Yes, a metro area of 900k has a good private school that has good sports teams.

You don't understand at all... He's not doing "it" to Ole Miss fans, he's doing it to y'all.

Pay BK $54 million, then sign Kiffin to a$100+ million contract? Healthcare is about to cease to exist in LA!
