Sure. It has the agriculture and veterinary schools. This is like saying aTm is more "country and western" than Texas. That's still a FAR cry from the discrepancy and stigma that you are attempting to apply to MSU -- while avoiding Ole Miss's own stigmas and stereotypes at all costs.
But since you obviously missed the memo, farming and agriculture are VERY lucrative professions these days.

I'm admittedly a sidewalk fan by marrying an Ole Miss alum, and we have plenty of friends from both schools. I really can't tell much difference between the graduates (with whom we are friends) from either school.
I admit it's a small sample size, but I also have many State grad veterinarians as customers, and they're all good people.
