I like when people keep the same avi. I don't plan on changing mine ever.

I associate poster's to their avis personally ... the one's that don't have avi kinda get lost in translation to me.

Or I just don't read theirs.

Sweeping generalizations are ridiculous. It makes some Ole Miss fans feel better about themselves to characterize MSU fans as rednecks. And it makes some MSU fans feel better about themselves to characterize Ole Miss fans as snobs. When I went to Ole Miss, there were plenty of students who came from blue collar backgrounds. And MSU gets its fair share of overprivileged snobby brats.

I think we're more alike than we care to admit.

ETA: The filter at work is the great equalizer, since it won't even allow me to see anyone's avi. I guess that's the reason why I don't have one. To be fair, apathy has a little bit of a role, too.

Yes the big difference being OM gets more OOS students. Of those OOS kids, the majority come from money, but also the majority of those OOS kids weren't smart enough to get into their home state's best colleges.

You know this totally politically correct culture has us all looking to get along, yet there is nothing wrong with being different. When I look at he political landscape I ask myself how in the world can both Democrats and Republicans be from the same country? I feel the same way about MSU and Ole Miss. Oh, LSU fans have no clue about an in-state rival so they really cannot relate, nor can Arkansas fans. But seriously are Auburn and Alabama fans the same? Isn't it true that any rivals from the same state are the same on some level? So what are we saying? I say that we need to understand what makes us different and appreciate those differences. Those differences are what make us hate each other. Don't rob us of our God given hate for one another. I love hating all of our SEC rivals, esp. State.

I never cared enough to make one until LSU fans collectively lost their minds about Cohen...

I agree that there's nothing wrong with being different. I just think that the most significant difference between Ole Miss and MSU are the fact that they are different Universities with a few different areas of study - at least moreso than some kind of bright line division between a generalized version of the people who go to them. That shouldn't diminish the rivalry at all. And it isn't some PC way of saying we should all get along.
