One of my biggest regrets is not going to see UF play there in 06 (even though we lost)

I was there and it was honestly the loudest game I’ve ever attended, especially the blocked punt/TD play.

Agree. Loudest single moment in JHS and loudest overall game.

That was my senior year at UF and I was cramming to graduate on time after transferring. I had the chance to go with someone who was driving and only would've had to split gas and hotel money. Oh well.
I couldn't go in 2011 because I was super busy with work but that game sucked anyhow.

Yeah, I wasn't there for '06, but the '93 FL game says hi.

I'm glad that one wasn't on TV. Same exact thing happened the next year and I threw quite the hissy fit as a 9 year old.

I was at both AU/UF games mentioned, and the ‘93 game was louder. I’d rank it 1B with the ‘89 Iron Bowl 1A.

Yup. We live in ours while in school, they live in theirs for life.

I’m an old lifelong Bama fan who grew up going to Denny Stadium before Bryant’s name was attached. Many Iron Bowls at Legion Field. We were rabid Bama fans. I was always Johnny Musso in a tear-away #22 jersey in the back yard. It’s all I knew from birth.

I met a girl in college who later became my wife whose family was total War Eagle for life. First visit to her parents: ‘Bo Over the Top’ Daniel Moore print in the den and blue and orange tiger paw light switch covers. Hand-crocheted afghan in AU colors on the couch. Hardcore Auburn fans. Not a single Auburn graduate in the house - in fact neither of her parents attended ANY college, much less Auburn. I think my ex had an uncle and cousin who graduated from Auburn. For over 20 years I paid for a subscription to Inside The Auburn Tigers magazine for my father-in-law for Father’s Day.

Honestly, Bama and Auburn fans get along for the most part. It’s exaggerated in the media and this God-forsaken place. Yes, I’m guilty of trolling Auburn on this board, but in real life I have multiple Auburn friends.

P.S. We divorced after 22 years but it had nothing to with the rivalry.

Buc-ee's killed one of the more visible yet much less legendary trailer parks in Auburn. So there's that.

Which one? I haven't been to AU in 30 years but I lived in Ridgewood.

That was a thoughtful gift. It was a mainstay on my grandfather's coffee table growing up. Sadly, it quit publishing last year. End of an era.

I must say. A lot better condition than the ones in Baton Rogue.

Honestly, trailers are probably better built than a lot of the disposable apartments in every college town, nowadays. Plus, you have plenty of room to throw a party.

Lunch and dinner places that happen to serve beer until midnight don't count.

Just downtown, I’d consider SkyBar, Southeastern, 17-16, Avondale, Sessions, and maybe Halftime and the Saloon as bars first. And that’s not counting Draft House, Moe’s and a few others that have a fun scene as well.

Appropriate question, given that OP's mascot is a mobile home.

Please tell me you didn’t travel all the way to Auburn only to eat at a Whataburger.

Auburn is the 2nd fastest growing area in Alabama behind Hunntsville/Madison. This isn't 1992. I doubt many students live in trailer parks anymore. There's freaking Taj Mahal apartment complexes popping up everywhere!
