IDK if you look at his stats cross referenced with Burks, it's shocking the amount of production 16 accounted for. Also 50/50 balls with Treylon were almost always won dude was such a baller. I think he is less accurate this year. Perhaps I am wrong, but yall have a good stable of diverse backs and Briles has shown he is not afraid to keep it on the ground.
ETA: in his only game without Treylon last year, he threw for under 100 yards and 0-1 TD to Int ratio.

I agree, losing Burks is an extremely valid concern for how the passing game may perform this season. There will be growing pains without Burks to bail you out of certain situations, because nobody can do what Burks did at WR. KJ will have to develop as a QB from last year to avoid a drop off, it will be an adjustment, just hopefully not a difficult one.
He still has familiar faces and the addition of Haselwood should help out quite a bit in adjusting to life without Burks. The WR group is definitely what I'm most anxious to see but not because of their abilities, only due to transitioning without a Burks on the field. A lot of bodies, but I would have to guess at least two names need to rise to the occasion if Arkansas wants to win more than 7-8 games.

He's a talented player but he's not Cam. Cam was a generational QB who almost single-handedly won a shitty coach a NC, not unlike Burrow.

Should he be? Maybe, but we'll know by October 1st. The Heisman hasn't been about picking the best player in a very long time.
It's more about being the QB on the best team, so probably not KJ... unless he finds magic in consecutive weeks vs. A&M & Bama. Then still probably give it to Tebow again.

Tyler Wilson was more talented than KJ: FACT. Ole Miss didn’t want KJ during the abysmal Luke years and he was 20 miles from campus. Almost felt bad for him last year after our game when he cried in his mothers arms. Almost.
You can tell he really wanted that one.

Sam Pittman was asked about the WRs and said that he felt really good about depth at that position. He was surprised at how Warren Thompson improved from last year. Here is a list that is on the roster.
Ketron Jackson Jr. 6-2 209
Matt Landers 6-5 203
Jadon Haslewood 6-3 211
Jaedon Wilson 6-3 180
Bryce Stephen's 6-0 173
Landon Rogers 6-4 201
Isaiah Sategna 5-11 173
Sam Mbake 6-3 202
Quincy McAdoo 6-2 182
Warren Thompson 6-3 193

Tyler Wilson isn't the player that Jefferson is. Wilson got cut early in either spring or fall camp after he was drafted. Jefferson has a higher ceiling and a future career in the NFL.

The answer to best QB since Mallet is Brandon Allen.
KJ ain’t winning the Heisman but he’s gonna truck some motherfrickers

Allen is good but I would still put the ceiling for Jefferson as higher because he was so raw coming out of high school. I just think his stronger arm and legs will give him a decent chance of being a starter in the NFL.

Jefferson will never take an NFL snap under center

It’s a little early for all that

If Allen can do it briefly then so can Jefferson.

Idk there are some truly awful QBs taking snaps this preseason. Not sure how guys like Logan Woodside last this long in the NFL.
KJ has some nice tools but will definitely need to be developed some more to get to that point. But he’s come a long way even since high school.

This is getting entertaining now. The jealously for our QB makes me more confident in his success this season.

He threw 21 td with a top 3 wr in the draft. Now he is going to throw 45 with that guy gone? I dont think so.

From an arm talent standpoint he couldn’t sniff Corral’s jock. Dollar General Cam is going 7-5 and I’m here for it.

Can’t wait to see the record OM has this season then, bet you won’t be here.

9-3 with a win over Jerruh Jones’ money pit. We’ll catch up in a few months, son.

He won't but he will have better depth at WR than he did last year. If he shows enough improvement then it is very likely he won't return for his senior year.
