Palo Alto is nice and all but San Francisco sucks and the people suck worse

And yet, Stanford is in Palo Alto.

I’m not suggesting a cfb QB should choose a school based on geography; but few locales in the country trump Palo Alto’s stunning beauty.

No need to debate it.

I predict that there will be a big pile of crow eating after the season. If you sold Leach short look out.
I’m just glad he’s not at Auburn.

I doubt leach has had an RB as good as Hill before.

I also doubt that Leach has gone up against defenses like Bama, LSU, Aurburn week in and week out.

But if Costello is indeed happening then good get for yall. Needed that badly. The big question now is will yalls WRs step up and play at the level needed.

The dude is coming to live in Starkville for 8 months. He isn’t retiring in north MS.

He’s coming to play Qb for a guy who will make him a top qb draft pick. It’s odd but the smartest move he could make for his future is to move to Starkville MS.....hence why he’s coming.

I don’t see where the hangup is. Dudes going to throw for 5 miles next season barring health.

He had 10 of his offensive lineman hurt at Stanford this season, btw. Season ending. Plus his own injuries. So stats are skewed.

We havnt had a real QB in Starkville.... once or twice in 20 years. This kid will have the boomers hooping and hollering.....fricking pearls bouncing everywhere in the bleachers.

Air raid, baby

Why is everyone comparing Palo Alto to Starkville? He would be going there to put up enough numbers in Leach's offense to get to the NFL.

I bet KJ Costello would be considering Kansas State if Leach was coaching there.

Why guys. Even an Ole Miss is speaking level headed on this. Why is this hard for the rest of you?

I have—when I lived in Oxford for four years.
Starkville is a charming town.
I much preferred it to Oxford.

And for anyone to compare their university’s aesthetics to Stanford’s (though Pepperdine is pretty stunning) is foolhardy.

But again, if players chose towns and not programs, the college football landscape would look far different than it currently does.

I wasn’t suggesting otherwise.
I was merely responding to the poster who was citing San Francisco, rather than Palo Alto.

Next to Fort Collins, CO, The Little Apple is amongst my top five away games.

Not a damn thing. I'm sure it's nice. I just don't think KJ Costello is thinking past trying to duplicate Minshew's success in Leach's offense and using that year to get into an NFL locker room.

It's a total unknown though. It will be the first year for Leach to install his system. There will be square pegs trying to fit in round holes. It's possible that his year never really gets off the ground in any meaningful way.

**** This is all assuming that Costello even goes to Stark.

Palo Alto) and the surrounding area shits all over Starkville. It is stupid to even make that shitty take you just did.

Naturally, the Bay area is more intriguing to me than anywhere in the SEC by a huge margin. There is more to see and do there than the entire SEC combined. However, their leadership is shitting themselves by adopting the radical, socialist way of survival. They lack common sense and now brains. It's not living, it's surviving for many.

I remember watching him battle in the 2017 PAC-12 Championship game and then not hearing from him much since (he might have been injured, Stanford hasn't been all that great as of recent, etc.).

Came away SUPER impressed. Kid is tough as nails and slings the rock
