So OU players should not have been cramping up but that Vol on the ground in the 4th quarter when OU was driving was legit. Got it.

Dawgfanman just proved your point!

Gimmickry warrants gimmickry in response.
I didn't see UT trying any gimmick or trick plays.

How would you like it if you go to an ER faking an injury and the medical personnel tends to you unaware what's going on?
The player isn’t at the ER. The trainers are fully aware of what’s going on.

They are going to be extremely pissed they wasted all that time tending to a patient faking their injury while they have others with legitimate ailments
The trainers and coaches for OU and UT (who also does this) have the same goals. Win.

DISRESPECTFUL PR!CK You also disrespected the hard work and effort the athletic trainers do out there during GameDay. What an a-hole!
I didn’t do any such thing. frick you and your family. See that’s disrespect. See the difference?

You say that to the "no huddle" offense at the next level. That there is not a gimmick.

These fake injuries have been a thing for at least a decade. He's just now noticing?

Calling plays as fast as you can so the other team can't get set, substitute, or get their own calls in, is a gimmick. It's bitchball.
You know it's a gimmick, and you've undoubtedly said so in the past when somebody was running it against your team, but now it's not a gimmick when it's your team doing it amirite?

While I don't particularly like it, I also don't care overly much about using injuries to limit hurry up offenses (as long as the clock stops).
When teams are hurrying up to catch the defense off guard rather than hurrying up to save time, there's a part of me that kind of views that as borderline behavior in itself. They're not beating the defense with a playcall or performance, they're simply not letting them get ready to play defense.
It's legal but I don't necessarily see it is being more ethical that having a player leave the field with a questionable injury to give the defense a chance to actually... set up their defense.
There is a reason we've had rule changes that require the offense to give the defense a chance to sub whenever they do or disallowed players starting to run on the field and then turning around to run off without playing a snap... because those running the sport realize that much of what the hurry up has been used for isn't particularly "fair".

Nothing they can do since officials don’t want to guess whether a player is faking or not.
Absolutely can do something, players sit 1-2 drives after being taken off. If there is an injury concern they shouldn’t be right back on the field anyways

Same can be said for the up tempo offense, it’s a gimmick for teams that. Any line up man to man and beat their opponent.

This isn’t an ER. It’s a football game with staffed Athletic Trainers.
They are getting paid/hours whether or not an injury happens. Unless there’s a massive amount of injuries on their sideline that they are ACTIVELY dealing with, then this fantasy you’re sharing with us is absolutely meaningless.
I can’t tell if you’re really this stupid or playing a bit.

i am a fan of any player (offense or defense) taken out for an injury time out not being able to return until after the next change of possession.

That what the no-huddle offense at the next level is.......not allow the defense to get set or change personnel, and, get the play of.

"Wait a minute...you have to give us more time."
Both teams are playing on the same clock.
If you're too slow to answer, take the loss.

I’ve already said I was fine with them forcing the injured player to sit out the rest of the drive.

I'm giving a more serious example because he thought faking an injury to an athletic trainer is funny. It's a complete and utter waste of time to them.
You're the one being so stupid because you can't put yourself in a more higher situation.
You can't fake injuries in front of medical personnel because you are going to get caught and they are going to be pissed. They are under a lot of stress already.
