That would just encourage players who are actually hurt to stay on the field. Maybe out for the rest of the drive is a better compromise.
Yeah, you're probably right on that one.

Ok, let’s play this game.

It’s unethical as hell to run the turbo offense. It creates an advantage based on pacing and can lead to more cramps/injuries for the defense.

Don’t speed up the game so much the other team has to slow it down. In other words, it’s not unethical to rush your opponent, but it is to delay it?

Lane Kiffin mastered this tactic, and even managed to get a W. It works.

Nothing they can do since officials don’t want to guess whether a player is faking or not.

They can do something, they chose not to and since the president of the NCAA is also the UGA president, I don’t expect anything to happen that can’t benefit UGA.

The “injury” he is referring to is a time when a OU players looks to the sideline and so of sudden falls down after the ball has been respirated on 3rd down. OU did this multiple times either after a big play or on 3rd down.

If you are upright right after a play, and the officials go to review and see you drop out of the blue when you’re standing up right before the snap, they can determine that wasn’t an damn injury. Either call 5yd penalty for delay of game, or force them to call timeout or get penalty. That will stop all this shite and it’s actually not that hard.

Surprised that Kirk went there….you never want a play to start when a player cant protect himself…

I thought overall Kirk did an excellent job on the Sooners=tennessee broadcast, the other guy didn’t seem to be watching the game, like when he said Tennessee isnt taking long shots about 2 plays after Tennessee just took a long shot that didn’t work. The other guy seemed to not understand what was transpiring on the field….

The alleged fake injuries has been going on for more than 25 years, it is just now that more teams play hurry up offense….

If this continues on, more than likely the issue will be revisited during the off-season.

This is like making a fake 9-1-1 call.

What the athletic trainers do when it comes to injuries is no laughing matter. The worst thing a player wants to do is waste their time.

Sticks and stones. One man's unethical is another man's key to victory. I feel zero sympathy for these beep, beep, offenses who rely on fatigue and confusion to make up for a lack of talent/efficiency for 4 quarters.

I wish more teams would do it and make college football do something about "injuries."

I’m not sure how this benefits UGA more than other teams. Heupel averages around 13 points per game against UGA, so I would assume fake injuries haven’t been the difference in those games.

LSU pulled that crap in Austin during the 2019 Texas game. I lost track of how many of their players went down, but they were dropping like flies. Infuriating. I like the suggested rule change above that the “injured” player should sit out for the remainder of that offensive possession.

I thought it was hilarious that he was being all self-righteous about it last night when it's been going on for a decade now.

If you're gonna call plays as fast as you can to not let a defense get set or substitute or get their calls in, DCs are going to respond to slow you down however they have to.

Everybody should do it and end this crap once and for all.

Gimmickry warrants gimmickry in response.

frick Herbstreit.

That's not laughable, you jackarse!

How would you like it if you go to an ER faking an injury and the medical personnel tends to you unaware what's going on?

They are going to be extremely pissed they wasted all that time tending to a patient faking their injury while they have others with legitimate ailments

DISRESPECTFUL PR!CK

You also disrespected the hard work and effort the athletic trainers do out there during GameDay.

What an a-hole!

Same can be said for the up tempo offense, it’s a gimmick for teams that. Any line up man to man and beat their opponent.
