Kirby Smart is in zero danger of being fired. This is a strange thread.

No one's getting fired for not beating Alabama.

It's when coaches fail to prepare their players, exhibit poor roster management, refuse to adjust their schemes, and lose to mediocre teams that they lose their jobs.

Btw, someone will beat Saban in the SEC and soon and consistently ... but it won't be Smart.

Richt?
Miles?

Trust me, if they would have beaten Alabama, they would still have their jobs.

So "someone" is going to do what no other coach has been able to do in the last 12 yrs?

So this is one of those threads where you just throw shite at the wall and waits 5 years to find out if it stuck?

Kirby is capable of coaching Georgia to a win over Alabama. It’s also possible he could win an NC and never even face Bama. Only things that would get Kirby fired in next few years:

String of 4+ loss seasons.
Losing streak of 3 to Tech
Morality issues

Richt?

There were significant structural issues in his program by the end. Those things had nothing to do with Alabama.

Richt was at UGA +10 yrs, and he was 1-2 vs Alabama with Saban. He did not lose his job because he didn't win enough vs UA.

Miles absolutely refused to evolve his offense, he was stubborn as hell and with loses to MSU/Arky(Bert)/OleMiss, it became too much for the fan base. Miles was not fired because of Alabama.

Do you honestly think Richt was fired solely for losing to Saban? If you want to know why Richt was fired, look at his time at Miami. The game passed him by and he constantly played down to opponents.

I would say both the losses to Wisconsin in the opener and Auburn later in the season were bigger reasons Miles was fired. The dude just couldn’t keep it together any longer
