Perhaps it's due to playing a 4th string former walk on at qb? Just a guess but I'd venture to say that has a lot to do with it. Put stetson on bama or even last year's lsu and see what their numbers are. There's only so much you can do with the 4tg stringer. If we had been starting Newman or daniels since game 1 I'm preeeeeetty sure our offense numbers would be improved.

Lmao!. LSU and Bama had way better offense. Georgia defense last year was better then LSU. Y’all just had no offense vs quality opponents. Yes, defense helped but when LSU won, it was 85 percent offense carrying the load. It was mostly the opposite for Georgia.

Fromm's improvement from 2017 to 2018 was considerable

We have only had 3 starting QBs under Kirby. Jacob Eason, who certainly improved since his freshman year, but it's impossible to determine if it came from his time at UGA or Washington.

Stetson Bennett IV is the other. He's a 5'10" 2-star walk-on turned into a legitimate SEC QB. If that's not development I don't know what is.

Who was the last team to win a championship that didn’t have a great defense? 2014 Ohio State maybe.

Even that defense only gave up 22 ppg and was stacked with high level NFL talent.

I think something that is forgotten about LSU last year is how good their defense played late in the season when they got healthy.

Your opinion sucks dumbass.
Georgia with Fields this year, and a better offense scheme or whatever would have beaten bama. Bennett threw like 3 ints? Fields may have made mistakes but he wouldn’t throw 3 ints on a defense that allowed like 600 yards of offense to Ole miss!
Which Arkansas and auburn didn’t allow that much.

Kirby is right. You probably won't win a championship with a terrible defense. He has taken steps to improve his offense. He just had terrible luck with his quarterback room this year. For Georgia to have an above average offense with a walk on quarterback is a testament to the new OC.

Georgia probably won't win it all this year with the offense but Bama is going to find it tough as well thanks to an underwhelming defense especially after losing Waddle to injury.

Go ahead blame the 4th stringer.
LSU just had a 3 star TRUE FRESHMEN put up like 38 points on offense. why can’t Georgia do this? How long has Bennett been in the program?

I never said it was Kirby’s fault for letting Fields go. Let me know where I said that. I answered to the following about you already having what u needed which is true. You disagreed, even though you had Fields, and you had Chaney who had your offense averaging 35 a game and 15th in the country. He was also doing this vs way harder defense than there is now in the SEC. That’s not bad duo. Oh and you have the number 2 dual threat QB coming in? Stop the Bs. You have not developed QBs very good under Kirby.
Besides 1 good year from Fromm. Which was under Chaney.
Your offense is averaging like 33 points per game, which is 35th in the country, I wouldn’t call that success with all that talent. Look what bama and LSU are doing with there offenses. Georgia is gonna need similar offense production to be where they wanna be.

We did. Against Tennesee. Who has a much better defense than South Carolina.

Bennett didn’t play in the Tennessee game?

When Georgia QB made his first start vs Arkansas. It’s didn’t look to good. What was his name again Mathias or Mathis?
Did he even lead yalls offense to a scoring drive?

I feel like Kirby put old Bama back on the field in changed times. He did really well but couldn’t get over the hump.

You know what I think is changing the game more than anything? Personal foul calls on corners and safeties for nailing receivers on hospital balls. It really opens up the passing game over the middle.

What?

English? Not exactly sure what you're attempting to say.

Bama had a "way better offense" in '17? Pretty sure they
had a top 5 defense. LSu's defense was much better towards the end of the season and BOTH were loaded with defensive talent
and neither win the NC without that talent.

quote:

was 85 percent offense carrying the load.

What does this even mean?

Not sure why this is so difficult
to comprehend.

Bennett wasn’t PLAYING his first game vs an SEC opponent.

Finley played his first game ever in an tiger uniform. Not knowing until the week of the game if he would be Starting. He goes 17-21 for like 270, and throws 2tds and 1 int. These situations are very different.

Greyson Lambert went 24/25 for 330 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INT in his first SEC start ever against South Carolina. It doesn't mean anything unless he can sustain it.

Maybe I didn’t make it for you to understand.
Bama and LSU offense were way better then Georgia’s. Yes, they had good defense, but LSU bama had offense. Georgia didn’t really have that vs quality opponents. Therefore you need better offense then what Georgia has and have been having. If they did they would have a title.

Also if you don’t know what “Lmao” means, then you must be like 60 years old.

Not sure what he is saying is totally wrong to be honest. The game has changed and it is more offensive now but you still have to have some stops in a game. You have to have enough players to make enough plays on defense to win. Even if it’a giving up 3 and not 6. Can’t win with NO defense

Not my point.
I’m just saying LSUs offense system is better then Georgia’s and that’s why LSU has a title now, and UGA doesn’t. There scheme was able to make a 3 star true freshmen succeed in his first ever start.

Just off a side note who was the OC when Lambert did that to South Carolina?

Tennessee has given up more points per game than USC. How in the world does that make them way better?

You didn't "make it for me to understand?" This is almost as incomprehensible as your first statement.
