When did this become a comparison between Kirby Smart and Brian Kelly?
When you started a topic that was factual incorrect.

You know.. it’s pretty easy to research your facts before you post.
Bama hadn’t been to Athens, since Mark Richt was head coach- 2015.
Meanwhile we’ve been twice to Tuscaloosa, all the other games in Atl or Indy. If you ever been to one of those Atlanta games is neutral as a game can be.

Bama has NEVER played in Athens while Kirby has been head coach
That might have something to do with it.
All away games or neutral sites where the crowd is pretty evenly split
We will see next year though

Look at this idiot. We overcame a schedule purposely designed to ensure uga would not win the sec. Get over it.

Exactly, and that was just one of the reasons why Sankey rec'd boos.

You played what might be a typical SEC West schedule many years.

Typical? I doubt that is true for bama, and even if that were true, it wasn’t done on purpose as it was part of a normal rotation.

What has Kirby Smart have to complain about? His team played on the road just four times out of their 12 regular season games. They weren't "put on the road all year long", as Kirby whined. Even the SEC championship game Was played in Georgia, as always. Not an unfair advantage for the Bulldogs, I guess. Even though he had road trips to Kentucky, Alabama and Mississippi this year, all three played in Athens in 2023. Kirby could live with that. SEC game sites are alternated yearly. By the way, the Bulldogs have played Alabama in four of the last five years -- two in Athlens and two in Tuscaloosa. Bama won all four. I'm no big fan of the SEC office but Kirby Smart's cheap shot at Greg Sankey made Kirby look petulant, foolish -- and Wrong!
If I was a LSU fan I would be worried about BK not having his team being ranked at the end of the season. He is in his third year at LSU.

You had to play an Alabama team that has 3 losses including a loss to Vandy.
You had to play an Ole Miss team that has 3 losses including giving Kentucky it's only SEC win.
You played Auburn as usual, easy this year.
You played Miss St, easy this year
That's all SEC West so far, and not even a stronger version of it or with one that includes LSU.
You played Kentucky, 1 SEC win all year.
You played Florida like you do every year, underrated team, but not a powerhouse.
Tennessee you got at home, what were they ranked last year?
And of course, you played @ Texas.
It's a tough schedule, but where did the SEC try to prevent you from winning the SEC again?

3 away games at bama, ole miss, and Texas knowing all 3 were preseason top 6. They ended up 3, 11, and 14, so it wasn’t as tough as intended, but still very tough.
Let’s see how often Bama did something like that. I doubt it was typical for yall.

I don't know about home and away, because I've never considered it that important of a factor.
But most years Alabama played that type of schedule. Recently not so much since the West has gotten weaker, but in the 2010's it was most years.
I think one year the SEC West had like 4 or 5 ranked teams alone.
It was usually teams like Miss St that had it the hardest since Alabama doesn't play Alabama.

I don’t know how you can say that when you’re just playing teams in the conference. How was it designed to trip Georgia up?

Smart has done an outstanding job at Georgia. He was just an insufferable jerk after Saturday's game when he took a childish cheap shot at Stanley before a national audience.
Sankey deserves it. The big ten and ACC pantsed him with the CFP. This whole set up is a debacle. Just look at the current seeding, who received byes, you’ve got teams ranked outside the top 15 with bye weeks while teams like Ohio state, Texas and others do not. You’ve got three sec teams who played far tougher schedules with better wins sitting outside looking in at teams they’d be heavily favored against playing in a CFP. Sankey is an idiot and should be fired.

I really think what Smart wanted to say to Sankey but
couldn't bring himself to do it , especially after beating Texas ,
was Sankey gave Texas a powder puff schedule while we were
getting beat up playing through a real SEC schedule .... and still won.

In What specific years did bama play a similar schedule?

Schedules were hand picked. This is how you design a schedule to trip up a challenger:
1. Give a single team #4,5,6 ranked teams.
2. Make all 3 of those games away.
3. Add in a 4th high quality team in #15 Tennessee.
It ended up being #3,7,11,14 ranked teams.
Is that a normal slate for bama, lsu?
A good team could conceivably go 0-4 vs that slate. Thankfully we were good enough to split those and win the sec.
