Off the field by the back of his pants. How can he ask players to control themselves…

It's called a "get back" coach and all teams have them, it originated in the NFL.

Saban doesn't have another man's hand down his pants on the sidelines.

Yes, but do all head coaches lack the self control to remain in their designated sideline area?

The "get back coach" or the need for one is probably one the most ridiculous things in sports. Any coach who has to be pulled back repeatedly onto the sidelines is not mentally or emotionally fit to work with young men.

Crap dude. I know you are an LSU fan, but that is a very common thing at the college and pro levels. maybe that's why LSU fans don't know about it?

Here is a page with several videos explaing it for you guys. You're the second LSU fan thta ahs made this keen assessment, so you guys either don't watch much football, or maybe you just don't know much about football. Either way....enjoy!

Get Back Coach-You Tube

NFL Films even made a video about them. They are in charge of keeping the players back, and coaches off the field.

Hey, listen! If there is any other information about football that you LSU fans need just hit me up! I'll be glad to teach you!

They don't care about sensible shite like that. They just want to keep his tantrums from drawing a sideline warning.

I have seen Saban with coaches pulling him back several times.

I dont currently make 7 million a year, nor do any of my co workers. None of us have to have anyone physically pull us away from a confrontation that will result in us being penalized in any way.

When he's about to get into somebody's arse perhaps. But never with their hands down his pants.

Kirby is ghey. He has a bowl cut.
UGA's best player is their punter. It's ok.

I know it is a common practice. So is picking your nose. Don’t do it in public.

Agreed... it's one of the dumbest things in the sport...right next to the targeting penalty and contract buyout clauses.

It's an act just like all the screaming and yelling is. Acting like you're going to literally murder the referee on every flag isn't real life

Haven't been watching the Tide very long, have you?

Scott Cochran was that guy when he was at Bama, and he literally had his hand on Saban's belt a good chunk of time every game.

If you didn't know that, you're either an alter or you've been watching Bama for about 3 years, because every Bama fan knows it.

Crap, dude. Y'all were criticizing Kirby Smart. He is a coach. So, yes. It is not something wild or unheard of for him to have get back coach. Which part do you not understand and I'll have my 4 year old grandson draw you a picture.

He used to be Scott Cochran at Bama, now I think they use a Grad student

Nobody has their hands down his pants. Show me a video where somebody has their hands down Kirby Smarts pants. They hold on to his belt. Man, you guys are strange.

No doubt he is good. Seems strange how this thread was about a get back coach, and now, all of a sudden you want to talk football.

You feeling dumb, so you think maybe a change of topic is in order? Not surprising. I'm afraid I know a lot more about football than you if you didn't know about get back coaches. that's pretty basic.

But again. If you have any questions at all about football, feel free to ask.

Anything...like what a forward pass is. Or what cover two is. Anything at all. I'm here for you!
