Ok then. Dre wasn't burned by SC last year. He gave 2 catches. 1 being a play where he couldn't have covered him any better and AJ made a circus catch.

2 catches out of 7, 1 just happened to be the 1 handed miracle grab...

then why the frick is he so high on the NFL draft boards?

they're both high on NFL draft boards. claiborne is better all around, but dre is probably better in pure coverage. JMO.

Claiborne is nearly as fast as PP7 I wish he could return kicks/punts like PP7 could.. that's the only thing LSU is missing this year, a true game breaker on ST.

It's shocking, but a good DB can give up a big play if he guesses wrong or plays it too aggressively. Unless of course, that DB plays for LSU. In which case the WR pushed off and the Bammer refs are on the take so they ignored it.

I love when arguments like this thread go on, and some imbecile comes up with this. As if Bama fans aren't the exact same fricking way...

The best corners are the ones that are rarely talked about in games because no team throws their way.

fwiw, Mel Kiper called Tyrann Mathieu "even being a sophomore, a probable 1st rd. pick" after saying "LSU is becoming DBU."

To add, he also said "the Arkansas game will give Dre Kirkpatrick a platform and to try to hold off Mo Claiborne. It's either/or at this point."

Spare me the "Mel Kiper doesn't know shite because he works for ESPN!!!!!!"

Give me a break. He hasn't been on TV for years and years because he doesn't know anything. Every "draft expert" you find anywhere probably has the same hit/miss ratio.

as of now Mo Claiborne is OBVIOUSLY over Dre. Mathieu has made more big plays than both of them but his measurables hold him back a lot.

according to Kiper, not much.

Again, it's early, but if they're talking about him already.......
