Please tell me how he doesn’t have the resources to win one here. Because unless you’ve been living under a rock and think it’s not possible for Ole Miss to get the talent necessary, you’ll know he has the resources to get it done here.
This isn’t the Ole Miss of the 70s-00s and college football isn’t the same game it was 5 years ago. The people saying “the state of Florida is loaded with talent! It’s easier to recruit there!” or “They've won a title before and have a better history! That’s going to make it easier to win it there!” are so out of touch with reality with what the game is now.
Your team’s history and the talent pool of high school recruits in the state is irrelevant. It’s do you have the money to pay me and do you have the money to pay for the best recruits. And Ole Miss over the last decade has proven they can do that. Especially under Kiffin

The melt would understandably be memorable from Ole Miss fans if Kiffin leaves.
But the melt might be even more legendary from Florida fans if Kiffin doesn’t arrive.

If Oklahoma beats Ole Miss that will be enough for Kiffin to know he needs to move on.

For all of that, Kiffin is in his 6th year there and Ole Miss isn't even top 20 in team talent.
When does all of this talent stockpiling that you say Ole Miss is capable of, start happening?

If he leaves it would suck but I would understand it because that means Florida is throwing stupid guaranteed money at him and 15 million a year.
Our program and AD are good enough that we would find a good replacement. I would prefer not to lose him though obviously

We're not offering him $15m a year

Yeah, cause the last dynasty coach was Nick Saban. You think he was saying to himself that top 25-30 talent wins NCs? No, he was stacking top 3 talent every year and winning. That hasn’t changed even though you can stack the talent like that any longer.
You’re lying to yourself if you believe that garbage.

Currently ranked 8th... and beat LSU with that "not even top 20 in team talent".
FInished inside top 10 or 15 every year since 2021 with that "not even top 20 in team talent".
So there's that.

He’d be stupid to leave Oxford. They’re happy with high-mid finishes and he’s making bank while giving it to them.

you forgot the other part. He could win one at Florida, he could also get fired even if he wins 8-10 a year. The big risk that goes with the big reward. And Lane has personally seen the shite end of the big risk a lot.
Winning 8 - 10 games a year is much harder now. It’s more like the pros than anything. He wouldn’t get fired for that. Anyone winning that every year is keeping their job and that would include UF. You think Napier gets his walking papers winning 8-10 per year? No, he doesn’t.

If you think he’s going to leave for less than we are offering then you’re smoking crack. Florida doesn’t have that kind of program

It’s gonna hurt when you realize he’s trolling you and he’s gonna raid your roster and Golesh is gonna be your coach because you bought into a pipe dream.

Personally I would prefer Golesh. I don't have a choice in who we're hiring so I'm just getting on the Lane Train before it leaves the station.
