Kiffin or Riley?

Who is the better offensive coordinator? Not +QB developer or anything like that. Just strictly OC. Curious because now that Jalen Hurts is at Oklahoma I’m left thinking if Kiffin was left that offensive talent with his own offensive scheme would the playoff games Oklahoma has been in have been different? Riley seems like a great adjuster but his scheme isn’t very adjustable inherently and highly one player dependent.
SEC related because Bama squashed one and used the other to squash the rest of you dickheads’ programs for 3 years.

Lincoln Riley is the best offensive mind in all of football IMO.

Lincoln Riley so far has given me no reason not to put him over Kiffin... or any other new HC, for that matter.

Lincoln Riley is extremely overrated. He added some counter run plays to the Air Raid offense. That’s it. It’s a new wrinkle that hasn’t really been done before, but really only holds up with extremely high QB play that includes their ability to extend the play and offensive line play allowing for slow developing plays.
All the people saying Lincoln Riley is some savant were saying the same thing about Kevin Sumlin. Now, Sumlin never actually ran the offense, but still, the Heisman winning QB and first round talent littered on the offensive line made all the difference in the world.
Lincoln’s real test will be Jalen Hurts and post-Jalen. Not having an elite, upperclassman QB, and maintaining the system. He won’t.

Judging by the Alabama vs Oklahoma game, I'd also add Murray as over rated as a qb. Great athlete, not great qb.

I have read they have a freshman qb phenom. He may be the qb by the end of the year.

It was Dan Enos that helped Jalen progress as a quarterback especially his passing game. Out of Riley or Kiffen, I’d have to go with Riley any day. Kiffen wasted the play making ability of OJ Howard for two years except in that one Clemson NC game.

So an OC/HC produces 2 Heisman Trophy-winning, overall #1 NFL draft pick QBs, not to mention top-offensive production in several categories & you really believe he’s overrated? What statistical performance would he need to meet to impress you?
Go back to swilling your jizz jar.

Had he taken those QBs and won a game of significance.

Kiffin’s Offense with Hurts consisted of bubble screen, bubble screen, bubble screen, throw deep. We will see how Riley plays him.

They had arguably the best offense in college football history.

They put up zero yards their first three drives against an average Bama defense.

So you are rating him as a HC & not just an OC as they topic indicated. Nick Saban would have lost a few more with Mike Stoops being the requisite DC.

Well he's the OC too? Is his zero yards in the first three drives against Bama with the "best" offensive line in the country and a Heisman winning QB not reflective of his OC role?
