He started two 260 pound walk ons on our offensive line, and made John Crompton out to be one of the SEC's best QB's.

Kiffin can coach.

He won seven games in the SEC with our depleted roster. I have no doubt in my mind he'll be celebrating a rose bowl victory at the end of next season.

NFL contract. Not something you'll see Garcia, Jefferson, or McElroy walking away with in the next few years.

It means crompton was easily the third best QB in the SEC last year.

I don't think Kiffin should be allowed to coach. At all. He's a dickhead.

i love how bama fans hate him for dissing UT but its ok for Saban to have done the same thing to the dolphins.

several things:

1) saban is a giant douchebag too - but he's maybe the best coach in college football - kiffin hasn't shown he's above average
2) Kiffin was widely disliked by non UT SECfans for seeming like a cocky moron who was in over his head and then left the conference before he got his arse handed to him.
3) I was pissed that Kiffin left (even tho I laughed my arse off at UT fans for being betrayed by him after they defended him all year)... I was just mad because he left before he was exposed year after year by meyer, saban, richt, etc

Saban met with the Dolphins' owner before leaving. He went over the situation with him. Kiffin just left.

The offense didn't make it past the 50 yard line.

I base it off the fact that the San Diego Chargers think Crompton is worthy of a 4 year NFL contract.

given what richt accomplished since arriving in the SEC and what Kiffin has yet to accomplish coaching anywhere? You just have to say Richt is the better coach - so yeah, I think Richt would have exacted some revenge this year in UGA - and probably over the next few years to boot

I could care less that he left UT. Actually I found that hilarious. What Bama fans and most other fans hate him for is being a jackass to every other coach in the SEC and making accusations about things when he didn't even know the rules. Lots of people hate Saban, but one thing he has always been is classy to fellow coaches and respectful of other teams in the media.

btw... Saban had a long sit down meeting with the Dolphins owner and talked out his reasons for wanting to leave. He even offered to stay if that is what he wanted. You can bash Saban for telling the media he wouldn't be our coach, but to the people that mattered he handled it very professionally.

agree regarding the kiffin part

not so much on the saban part - he did what was best for him and that's fine. But he clearly bailed on the dolphins and they were pretty upset about it

Look man.... Kiffin is a total douchebag. In comparison, Saban is a saint. Kiffin was an embarrassment to our conference. Don't defend him anymore, you'll just wind up in a world of shite.

Maybe. . . but considering John Parker Wilson has a contract with the Falcons I'm seriously not sure how much that means.

Getting a contract doesn't mean he was good. He wasn't even top 5 in passer rating. He was 2nd in most attempts lol. There's nothing to show you have a clue.

Besides, your premise is that Lane made him better and in fact SD drafted him on potential not on past performance or he wouldn't have been drafted.
