Lol. A top five job would have never hired Sunbelt Billy.

How did LSU go with Orgeron? Yes, I know he won it all one time but other than that he just wasn't a HC material to begin with.

Florida has more resources than Ole Miss. Lane is a vagabond coach so anything goes.

I laughed when they hired Orgeron but he caught lightning in a bottle with two great coordinators and then promptly shite the bed after they were hired away. Also, as bad as Les Miles was on game day coaching, he didn't leave the cupboard bare.

You sound like MSU fans when UF hired Mullen.

Huh? We expected him to eventually leave. It was common knowledge he shopped around a few times in the off-season and that was pissing off the fanbase because it was hampering recruiting.

We just said he was no urban Meyer and he was not going to stack Florida’s roster with 5 stars. We were laughed at, was told Florida recruits itself, and it was just sour grapes.

Kiffin does have a good thing going at OM. Not only does the team look good, it seems that he has the backing of the fans, the administration, and the boosters.

He would be great at Florida but not sure that he has the gravitas to clean house (like Saban did at Alabama) of all of the boosters and admins who want to have a say in the football program and who are currently f*cking up what should be a perennial top 10 program.

For a fan base that professes to be so confident that your coach is staying y’all sure do come across as insecure.

recruiting hotbed

That's not a thing anymore. The whole country is a recruiting hotbed now. NIL and Transfer Portal have neutralized this advantage.

Florida can hire whoever they want, sans the top programs coaches, which Ole Miss is not in that class. They just won’t, because they are sitting in the same situation that Georgia was in for so long with Michael Adams.

UF is a little different than other SEC schools in that the big money wants to donate to a winning program but doesn’t want to really get involved other than stroking a check. That’s why we have one of the most autonomous athletic departments in the country. Stricklin hired Mullen and Napier without a search committee. We also have a lot of big boosters, not just a couple of guys running the show.

Yeah UF isn't a top 5 job nor does it have facilities close to OMs. UF doesn't even have leadership at any capacity in the entire University. They can probably hire him if they want to pay 16 to 17 million a year

With Disney Gators running the show it does.

A) Thats not different. That is the case everywhere and most certainly every SEC team not named Vandy

B) It does not appear that they actually want to spend the $$$ to win. If that was the case then FL would have a significantly better roster

A. Great job cutting off the rest of the sentence. We don’t have too many meddling boosters like other schools. They tend to be absentee. That was the point.

B. Do you think we got DJ Lagway because him and Billy are kindred spirits? Or that we are paying him a few million a year to be here? UF’s endowment is in the multiple billions. Ole Miss is like $700 million. We may not have UTexas or A&M money, but we have plenty.

While Kiffin May or May not go, Florida is a significantly better job than Ole Miss . Not being a prick it just is . More money, more athletes , more support , and better history . This is Kiffin’s best chance at ole miss and hate to break to to you but you aren’t winning a NC
