Sumlin is a joke. He hasn't done a damn thing for anyone since he lost Kliff Kingsbury as his OC.

Kingsbury is now an NFL head coach while Sumlin can't even get to 5 wins in the Pac 12.

Anyone saying Sumlin is better than Fisher is verifiable dumbfrick. But then the Rant is full of those.

In fairness you did have a hard schedule this year
And next year schedule is a bit of a joke so yeah you should have a lot of rent a wins but in today’s environment that will not gain any significant respect

You gained some momentum by joining the sec but quickly lost it and fell back behind the other Texas schools
Y’all are a solid school but face it any student or athlete in Texas wants to go to UT first for anything other than an ag degree
And after that Baylor and now SMU(????)
Your the primary university for east Texas but the rest of the state feels differently

Do you think your team got better over the course of the year, or that players like Mond were developed well?

I do.

We lost our top RB and TE to the draft last year, and then lost their replacements to season/career ending injuries in preseason practices. So we came into the season with what were supposed to be our 3rd string TE and RB as starters, playing behind an iffy offensive line that was criminally neglected under Sumlin.

By the end of the season, the TE made 2nd team all SEC, the run game had come together, and the defense was gelled enough to play Georgia to the wire. Yeah the LSU loss was ugly, but damn dude LSU is a buzz saw this year.

That kind of improvement over the course of a season NEVER happened under Sumlin. He always had what he had on week 1 and they got steadily worse every week as the season progressed. New standouts never emerged mid-season at any position, units rarely got better or gelled, and he rarely ever even won a game in November.

Fisher is a totally different coach, and it shows.

Damn look at swamp kitten obsession with Aggy. I’m starting to think Jalen Hurts and OU are gonna cake walk all over y’all. Your fans and team are still thinking about Aggy, it’s amazing.

You may prefere UT grads, that's all good. It's a great school. But there's plenty of folks that prefer A&M grads.

Reality is both A&M and UT are in the same catogory. Big state schools with solid academics. Neither is Harvard, and neither is Arizona State.

Both afford ample opportunity to build a great career. Neither is going to put you on a guaranteed path to the silver spoon. BTW, A&M grads make more on average than UT grads.

Well yeah, we replace Clemson with Colorado for one. Also we know Gus never strings two good seasons together so that’s an extra win.

Let me shite all over your preschool talking points one by one.

quote:

You gained some momentum by joining the sec but quickly lost it and fell back behind the other Texas schools

2011 Recruiting Class (January immediately after tying for first place in the Big 12 South): 4th in the state behind t.u., Texas Tech and TCU and 34th overall.

2013 Recruiting Class (First class after initial SEC season): 1st in the state and 9th overall

2014 Recruiting Class: 1st in the state and 5th overall

2015 Recruiting Class: 2nd in the state and 10th overall

2016 Recruiting Class (immediately after Allen and Murray transferred back to back): 2nd in the state and 18th overall

2017 Recruiting Class: 1st in the state and 13th overall

2018 Recruiting Class (immediately after Sumlin's firing and 1st with early signing period): 2nd in the state and 17th overall

2019 Recruiting Class: 1st in the state and 3rd overall (t.u.'s ranking is fraudulent because they count a USC 5-star player in their class who never set foot on their campus)

2020 Recruiting Class: Currently 1st in the state and 5th overall

Rice is the top academic school in the state by a titanic margin, followed by t.u., followed by A&M, followed by SMU, followed by Baylor.

Recruited for major oil industry

Your pet eng is solid but your geoscience was a joke which actually upset me cause I wanted to recruit hard from them and pretty much just walked away..

Not sure about your statistics but realize statistics pretty much say what ever you want them to ( I have a background in statistics and math)

You deep down know UT business school is significant and the primary
Choice of most Texans going into business

FYI my sons graduated from UT,Texas Tech, Texas A&M and University of Chicago

I lived in east Texas and Houston
Accept the reality!!! Never gonna top UT as the preferred Texas school for the majority of Texas

You go to rice or apply??
Yeah they are very very good
But not athletes going there
And they do not really look at the average Texan even with extreme high gpa and sat
They preferred diversity
And most Texans do not want to pay that tuition without scholarship assistance because there are many other solids schools available for less
They offer assistance but focus on “divesity”
And sorry honors colleges from UT probably produce a more marketable individual

You clearly don't know the concept of a period. Here's a hint: It goes at the end of a sentence.

I was accepted into Rice, t.u. and A&M as well as many other schools. I was accepted into t.u. by filling out a 1-page application. A&M actually made me work for it.

You could say pretty much the same for Jamais Winston and Fisher.

Fisher won a BCS national title and earned a playoff berth in the Rose Bowl with Winston.

Sumlin has had 4 NFL starting QBs with Case Keenum, John Paul Football, Kyle Allen, and Kyler Murray yet never once won his conference.

Don't forget 2 conference titles...something that Kevin Sumlin has never and will never achieve in any conference.

Has A&M ever in their history been better than 7-3 after 10 games?

Yes, but it doesn't count because they were a small, all-boys military school back then. That's the excuse they give, anyway.
