Glad Will Leitch got to see it. It seemed to warp his brain.

I'll be interested to see the viewership of the UK-UT game.

It still drew pretty big numbers.
Also, it started on a Saturday afternoon. Many people were out and about.

Kentucky hasn't made a S16 in five years.
This was a No. 3 vs. 6 seed, and the 6-seed was actually favored.
I think most non-SEC people tuned in because they expected Kentucky to get upset again.

lots of good info/breakdown here - including this caveat -

As ever, record numbers require context regarding Nielsen methodology.
Nielsen did not include out-of-home viewing in its estimates until 2020, and did not measure out-of-home viewing in all markets until earlier this year — giving this year’s games an advantage over every prior year.
It is a virtual lock that both Duke-North Dakota State in ’19 and Oakland-Kentucky last year had more viewers, all things being equal, than Arkansas-Kansas.

MARCH MADNESS (3/21): Friday’s Kentucky-Troy NCAA men’s basketball tournament opening round game averaged 3.86 million viewers on CBS, followed by Illinois-Xavier at 3.22 million. On cable, TNT drew 2.76 million for UConn-Oklahoma and 2.06 million for Florida-Norfolk State, while TBS drew 2.57 million for New Mexico-Marquette and truTV 881,000 for Arizona-Akron.

That’s not what that post says. Duke played a part in that.
Cute numbers though. Not on par with Arkansas/Kansas.
That post also only calls out Sunday and not Saturday.
No wonder UKs school continues to slide to the bottom in education not that 99% of U.K. fans went to U.K. though

Duke is an outlier in college basketball like Notre Dame in football where much of their ratings are from folks wanting to see them lose, not win.

lol no proof of what you are claiming. I feel bad for UK fans. 99% didn’t even go to the school. The school continues to fall in education.
Again Kansas Vs Arkansas was the most watched game of the tournament.
Guess what the most watched regular season game was this year?
There is nothing nice about Kentucky except for a few horses. Place is hell on earth
Bunch of community college idiots working for $15 a hour

They invented Dude Wipes just for you, didn't they?
I didn't make the claim, it's the opinion of the Sports Media group. I'd believe them over someone that can't wipe their own arse.

Arkansas is so great you don't even live there.

You're from Arkansas. No one from Arkansas should ever be ranting about the things you're taking about. Ever.
As far as academics...
