Cal finished 1st or 2nd every year in the SEC minus 3 years out of those 15 at Kentucky. He finished 4th once, 3rd once and 8th once. Pope won’t come close to matching what Cal did in 15 years. Heak Pope won’t finish 2nd like Cal did last year
Lulz, forgetting Cal has only won one game in the SEC Tournament in the last 5 years at UK and only got out the 1st weekend of the NCAA since 2019.

Hopefully we get paired with Kentucky then

I think he meant as a team offensively, defenselty, and effort. Not just on offense.
That alone was the difference in the game, and to no surprise it was DJ and Z who shot the 3 well and both had a comfort level shooting in Rupp.

Nelly had his best shooting night of the season on Saturday. Not coincidentally, his wrist continues to heal and his shooting form is coming back.
Z was rarely contested. Guy was standing around the three point line unguarded half the night. I'd have been shocked if he didn't shoot as well as he did.
DJ, Knox and Thiero knocking them down was a pleasant surprise. Perhaps familiarity with Rupp sight lines had a small part in that, but to me it seemed like they were just playing more free than I'd seen them play all season. Very relaxed. If they had an open shot, they took it. No sign of the hesitation and fear we'd seen throughout the earlier part of the SEC slate.
Here's hoping it's the start of a trend and not an aberration.

They still have a nasty offense and that alone can carry you far in March. I’m not writing them off.
Kentucky just lost at home to an unranked Arkansas team!

One of Cal's pregame interviews he said he told them to play with fearlessness which is exactly how they played. When DJ hit that step back three I though where was that all last year and this year.

Let's just look at what happens when teams come to Rupp. Once a season, a team comes in and has a magical night and shoots the lights out.
Arkansas had their best night of play in conference, shooting a surprising season high. You can't say it was solely because of Cal. Rupp alters the play of some opposing teams. Some cave in to the pressure, and others rise and take it.
If Ark was playing normal, we win that game 9 times out of 10.
So Cal wins this one, gets a second win in league play, and now we are supposed to act like the hogs are the greatest. Bitch please.
I hope we play again in the tourney. I don't think you all beat us the second time.

Your best win of the season. Enjoy it.
I hear it was their super bowl.

Well yeah, it was the Coach Cal Bowl and Arkansas-Kentucky is prime SEC basketball anyway.

Isn't Arkansas' current conference winning percentage (.250) the worst they've had in the last 20 years (in the first 2 years of Stan Heath)?

Didn’t Georgia and Vandy beat them too?
