It’s higher admissions standards for scholarship athletes, including football players, that puts Notre Dame at a recruiting disadvantage. The fact that they’ve put as many players into the league as they have is a testament to Kelly’s coaching (third winningest in college football).

What are the admission standards for scholarship athletes at Notre Dame?
This is all I could find. Seems pretty vague.
