What were Saban's classes at Michigan State ranked?

Funny how no one wants to touch this.

What does that have to do with him being at Alabama? Do you think it will be the same or something?
Its relative

Washington before Courtney Morgan hovered around 15 in the rankings for recruiting

Morgan had them in the 30s

So will his ranking improve at bama? Yes, but he doesn’t seem to improve the schools recruiting from baseline

Better than Michigan state pre Saban

That’s the thing you don’t want to touch. Nobody expects Washington to have top 5 classes, but a good recruiter should improve Washington’s recruiting rankings relative to their standard

Courtney Morgan had Washington fall in recruiting rankings

Imagine what he can do at a place like Alabama where he can recruit top 10 classes?

Replace Bama with Auburn in this sentence, and it’s exactly what we were saying about Haskins.

Keep in mind, the best talent is in The Southeast for obvious reasons and luring those kids 3,000 miles to the west coast is hard.

His best class is still lower than the previous coaches. That is a cause for concern.

Recruiting rankings didn't exist back then, dumb arse. We barely even had internet.

Or what Auburn fans said about Tubs when Saban got hired at Bama.

He definitely didn’t take over a horrible UW team and turn them into a top 10 team his first year.

Where is this horrible Washington program coming from?

They had already been to the CFP before he went there. They had 3 straight NY6 bowls just before Covid and the prior coach was fired for physical contact with a player. They had one bad season because said coach had been fired mid season and they tanked the rest of the year

Literally anyone else Alabama hired to replace Saban is a "prove it" or "wait and see" hire.
Totally agree.

I just saw Deboer’s recruiting record at UW for 2021, 2022 and 2023. It makes me so happy……

Kirby’s record vs Alabama makes me happy

Exactly. Tubs was a development guy too.

Helped build that 59th, 29th and 29th ranked classes.

And yet, played for the National Championship. What's Hugh's excuse? Y'all keep making great arguments for what a GOOD hire this is.

he won't get all of those 5 star players that Saban was getting. those guys came to play for Saban, not play for Bama. it will be totally different.

So maybe all the projections of DeBoer being a shitty recruiter should be saved until it's proven he is.
