Napier put up almost 3x the points we did against Kentucky. If Florida wants them they can have him.

Napier plays and coaches? Man, stop it. Kentucky has a good defense and what I saw that hurt Ole Miss vs Kentucky was more about Jaxon Dart than anything else. Dart shrinks in the most important times in the game. He did it against Kentucky and he did it against LSU. That's not on Lane! You have a QB problem and to a lesser degree an OL problem.

Can we give you some fatherly advice???

Yall gotta quite scheduling your 1st 4 games against pathetic weaklings and nobodies. Yall go 4 and 0 and everyone gets excited - and then come the losses to mid level SEC member schools.

And yall do it year after year after year.

Not really, but we still may need to change if recruiting gets facked.
In all reality Florida is not a bad team offensively of late. If their defense continues to improve we might win a couple more games and upset somebody. It's too bad our coach just seems to frick up in big moments.

1. I and no other Ole Miss fan has any control over our schedules.

2. In 2023, our only losses on the season were to Alabama and Georgia. Our 1st 4 games included 2 ranked teams.

3. Your username (CouldCareLess) is the most stupid username on the internet, so my advice to you is to delete your account and start over.

Kiffin’s always been overrated. Before he got to Ole Miss he had a reputation as this mastermind coach but his body of work did nothing to merit that. He was an average coach resume-wise before he came there (one 10 win season in his entire P5 career), and since going to Ole Miss he’s achieved a very average SEC record. 40-18 or something. Not terrible but not this genius everyone makes him out to be.

I think his offenses can be really eye-catching, and that paired with his flamboyant / troll type personality created this exaggerated legend of Lane… but I wouldn’t even put him top 5 in the SEC.

The coach I really want is coach Cig. Sounds like he's not interested though.

I've never liked Kiffin purely because of his personality on and off the field.

I want him because I want to be entertained and he seems to fit the bill for that. Florida football has been boring for almost 20 years at this point.

I think Kiffin can be a championship level coach at a school that has an elite talent base.

Not a generational coach, but a coach that can win a national title in a 10-15 year stretch.

Ole Miss doesn't have an elite talent base. Even with the transfer portal action, they have 2 players who were 5-star recruits and 28 4-stars. Florida has 4 5-stars and 48 4-stars. That's a BIG difference.

Is Kiffin one of the top 5 coaches in college football? No. Is he top 15 coach and a significant step up from Napier? Absolutely.

Is he the best UF could get if they fired Napier? Perhaps. He's near the top of the guys they could reasonable lure away from their current job.

Haha. I doubt it but you can try. I won't lose any sleep, to be honest. Don't expect us to go offering him raises though. I think we would just let him walk. When he decided to lose to Kentucky and LSU, his ability to negotiate a significant raise diminished to nothing. We aren't really getting much of an ROI.

You may have a point but Kiffin should pull dart if he’s struggling. That’s part of being a coach

It's fine to think that... but Ole Miss fans need to remember what they right now.

Currently only one coach at Ole Miss since John Vaught has won 10 games more than once... that being Lane Kiffin. He's also achieved two of the three highest post-season rankings for Ole miss other than Vaught.

He's not Vaught. But he's literally the best coach other than Vaught in the history of Ole Miss football... even though he's only in his 5th season.

I don't mean to insult you or anything... but I honestly don't think Ole Miss can do any better.

I don't take offense and in my OP, I did state that I didn't want him to go. I just think we have offered enough to expect better results. I don't see us offering up much more. That's all. I do know that we should hold on to Golding at all costs though.
