Just as long as they call more on bama.
Don't confuse people with wanting a fairly officiated game with whining. We should all want the league to hold officials to a higher standard for every team.

Most people blame the refs due to a lack of understanding on the rules, combined with some actual bad calls mixed in.
For example the Miami vs VT last play it would appear at first glance that VT got screwed and the play could have only ended in 2 possible outcomes, a TD or an INT. But after review it was an incomplete pass despite the ball never touching the ground.
What most people didn't realize is that if a person is out of bounds and they touch the ball before the reception is made, then the ball is out of bounds and it's an incomplete pass. Since the receiver bobbled the ball a little, and a defender who was out of bounds touched the ball, it's an incomplete pass.
So the correct call was actually made. But 99% of people will never accept it was the correct call, or they'll never even know why it was.
And if you throw that in with some other actual bad calls, they damn sure ain't even going to think it was anything other than that.
The refs missed some calls in the Alabama Georgia game, and that's going to happen in every game. But overall I thought they did a decent job. They caught the safety for example, I was screaming SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY the entire time and for a second didn't think it was going to be called.
I think there should be a ref that just watches the TV and calls penalties from it. That way you at least know the refs are seeing everything the people at home are seeing.

I would happily settle for fair and balanced. But let's be honest. To be fair and bring everybody back to even, they would have to call against Bama for 50 years to counteract the 50 years they've been calling for them.

I think it is fair to say that almost everyone complaining about Bama, Georgia, whoever is good at the moment bias is usually just pissy that the refs aren't an active participant in the only reason they're paying attention to the game: seeing if the good team loses.
