I always figured it was more of a North Louisiana rivalry. Nobody in southern Louisiana gives the state of Arkansas a thought, except for football season. I've always thought North Louisiana was more culturally similar to Arkansas than to Southern Louisiana.
There's also been some great games in that series. Lots of upsets.

Texas. LSU likes to think it is some "super bowl" game but in all actuality, we are clearly the better team when we win, and they are the better team when they win. It's as simple as that.

No, you are not our rival, Texas A&M has a longer pre SEC relationship with LSU, Both were huge military schools, each producing more Army officers than any other institution, except West Point, until WWII. They are much more fitting as a season ending game for us than Arkansas.. Also, Mizzou is more fitting to end the season for Arkansas if only due to proximity.
