No. I'm just curious what a typical WR puts up at the combine. You're acting like 17 is terrible. Here's what I came across with a quick google search.
quote:
In the NFL combine wide receivers are required to do a max rep set on the bench at 225lbs. The top performers in the 2010 combine put up in the area of 18-20 reps. For a max bench this equates to something around 300-315 for a max weight. This is of course not exact however that's a ballpark for you at least.
Julio might fall to the third round now.

Almost Identical Career Stats- AJ gets the nod on TD receptions but a lot of that can be contributed to style of offense differences. Both are badass but to say one is "CLEARLY" going to be a better Pro WR is just damn not possible. So take your smart arse one line lame arse flame attempt and shove it up your arse.

Do you think 17 is great for Julio, everything considered? How he is known as a gym rat, powerful WR, and looks like he's chiseled out of stone?
No one in America though Julio would only do 17...

I have no idea why facemask is such a huge deal on defense, but is suddenly not dangerous at all when offensive players go to the heard.
Maybe because the offensive player is pushing the face mask away from him (stiff arm) whereas the defensive player grabs a hold and jerks the offensive players head and neck around to tackle him?

Dude.....start a thread if Julio runs a 4.7 in the 40 or his vertical is terrible. I dont think Sportcenter is going to break from commercial to let us know a WR did a couple less reps than what he normally does.

Ok homer. Julio had a fricking Heisman trophy winning RB to take pressure off of him, in addition to a steady QB. AJ had Knowshon for 1 year (the same year he had stafford, so that was great), which was also his freshman year. After that, he had Joe F'n Cox as his QB (with Richard Samuel, a TFR RB for half the year in Ealey, and Caleb King at RB), and this past year with Ealey, King, and a RFr QB.
AJ gets the nod because he's better. Plain and simple. He has MUCH better hands, speed is a wash, and apparently we've just now seen that AJ is just as strong. A wide receiver's job is to catch the ball, not bench press. AJ is without a doubt a better receiver than Julio and anyone who disagrees is just an Alabama fan.

Well, everyone in America knows what's gonna happen when Julio throws on the pads and the bright lights come on...

Yea a youtube highlight video proves it.
If I were an NFL GM I would be concerned about Julio's durability though. He plays like a running back and takes a lot of unnecessary hits.
Julio was better for Bama's run blocking/short passing game and Green was better for more of a deep attacking offense like UGA ran.

He's a football player, not a ninja brah. We got in a fight , I'd slit his fricking throat and then go have a beer.

I think he is a better receiver. I've always felt that way. Julio just drops too many. I think Julio will really show what he can do in an NFL offense that pushes the ball down the field though.
Your fellow UGA fan is just a douchenugget though. Him calling anyone else a homer is pretty funny.

Link?
I saw a video of AJ getting 18 reps (bouncing the bar off his chest) but I can't find anything about Julio.

Why does everyone seem to take a compliment to one player as a dis to another? I never said Green was a bad blocker, only that Julio was a very good run blocker at the WR position. If I had the option to trade receivers, I would keep Julio on Bama's team because he fit our scheme.

Nothing if seen tells me that AJ is better than julio.

no i know what you meant, just adding my 2 cents. and i understand
both were incredible and both fan bases have more than enough fodder to say there wr is better
from a play making POV i just think aj had an edge. literally every time we needed something we went to him. or bobo was fricking up. actually kind of worries me for 2011 cause aj made so many unreal catches and we still went 6-7
