If this indeed goes through, USCjr will be getting a great one. We knew it was only matter of time before he gets his chance.

The Vitello coaching tree continues to grow.

I speculate that Evansville is going to dogpile on the Little League field.

Frank Anderson and Josh Elander have been his two paid assistants on staff every year since he took the job in 2018

Vitello remembers when Tennessee gave him his shot at heading his own program. He’s not going to stand in Elander’s way IF South Carolina offers. Problem is, will Ray Tanner make that offer? His past record in making hires tells me otherwise.

from what USc posters have been saying, Tanner may not be in a position to offer anyone

Yes. Ross Kivett left but not for a HC position. He was the roid rage guy.

IF Tanner actually gets to make the hire…the leader in the clubhouse is:

Monte Lee. I kid you not.

Bobby told me that if Monte gets the job, Gamecock fans will make the Schiano revolt at Tennessee look like a church social. Part of me REALLY wants to see this!

This is where Mizzou fricked up when they passed on Vitello. Vitello was 37 years old when Tennessee hired him and took a chance on him. The year prior, he interviewed for the job at Mizzou and they wanted a HC with experience and more age. Well as we see now, that was the wrong move.

Ross Kivett is now at University Houston as the Associate HC. Maybe Ross will come back if Elander does leave. Kivett was under Anderson and Elander and took a paid position at Houston. But Kivett is a great young coach also that will be a HC someday.

And Ross Kivett was on his staff and now is at University of Houston. I am well aware of who Vitello has had on his staff, both paid as non paid assistants.

So Vitello's coaching tree that you're bragging about is a single unpaid assistant who took a paid assistant job at Houston?
