This is on 247 board from his press conference.
"I am looking forward to coming back better than ever and most likely go to next level after this season"
Was kind of expecting him to come back especially if Collins goes pro.

Nah he needs to rehab and try to make some NFL money while he can. He's one of the greatest hogs of all time, sad to see him go but it is what it is.

Why, so he can potentially get hurt again before going pro?

He was a Petrino guy, right?

No reason he should. Someone will take a late round gamble on him and it will pay off enormously. Dude wants to get into the league and help his family. He's also only in one class this semester and is graduating in December.

So he can actually build some NFL stock? I mean, he'll likely get drafted pretty late if he takes this whole year off (due to severe injury) and enters the draft.

Is he considered like a Willis McGehee someone will take him in the first round kind of guy or more like a Lattimore/Davis that goes later?

Yeah but he never played for him. First year was under John L. Smith.
He just needs to rest and beast up the combine and prove he's back to where he was before the injury and he'll go in the 3rd-5th round IMO

If he enters the draft after this season I'd be surprised if a team spend more than 5th-7th round pick on him with questions surrounding injury. He wasn't a 1st/2nd round type guy before the injury anyways.

I'm sure he won't be drafted nearly as high as your cousin.

While I would personally love it if he came back, J-Will has nothing left to prove. He's graduating and needs to make the most of his opportunity in the NFL. He'll have to deal with his rookie contract and hopefully gets a shot at a bigger contract before his shelf life and career are done.

JWill was more a John L smith guy. john l flipped him from Mizzou. Then was interim coach when he got on campus.

Cannot really blame any running back for making the jump, their shelf life is so quick. Hate he got hurt, but hopefully he is looking good by the time the draft rolls around.

He has gotten word from some NFL guys about his injury and while it will keep him out this year it's really not that big of a deal. Not like its an reoccuring injury (ACL ect...) shouldn't hurt his draft stock as long as he has a good combine

Who is Jonathan Williams?

Yeah, no need to put more miles on the legs. He's a 3rd-4th rounder

Less of a risk than Lattimore. JWill has no injury history. Not a 1st round talent but he got a 3rd round grade last year.

shite after lattimore im not sure why anybody would want to risk it
the combine is where its at now anyway if he can healthy and impress there he can go in the first 3 rounds
dude has 2300 career yds i think thats plenty tape to look at
