And honestly his behavior tracks with Bipolar if you look back at it over the years.

Bipolar folks, especially if it’s not well treated, are commonly suicidal when they crash from that manic phase.

Spoiled or not, if that’s his struggle I genuinely hope he is getting help.

You're a nice person and you're trying to find the silver lining, good on you

But I believe people with Bi-polar disorder truly don't often realize they're doing bad things.

Manziel on the other hand is a narcissistic pathological lying self absorbed little bitch. He knows he did and does bad things, and he revels in it.

It's amazing how the national media crapped all over Ryan Mallett going into the NFL because he "talked like a black kid" but those same media douchebags were all in on Manziel being a horrible person

Mallett in the NFL: started 8 games, completed 55% of his passes for 1835 yards and averaged 5.3 yds. Threw 9 TDs & 10 picks.

Awesome!

Cleveland Browns - 2015

The fact that he hasn’t played in the league in 8 years is pretty wild

He does have bipolar. He's been pretty open about it since he was diagnosed.

He also by all accounts has stayed out of trouble since being diagnosed bipolar and properly medicated for it.

But the medication totally ended his already struggling football career. He played some CFL games after getting his bipolar under control and he wasn't the same player at all. It evened him out to the point he lost the edge that defined his game.

And now Johnny Football, who has clinical mental illness, and has been self-medicating with alcohol since his TAMU days, just bought a bar in his hometown.

Let the healing begin.

He should have borrowed one of mine. I guarantee there are no misfires in any of them.

It would have been a tragedy if he succeeded.

But he failed and now he's promoting a Netflix show about himself?

My feelings. They are mixed.

I don't understand the point of hating on someone like this. Clearly he has a lot of demons that he's battling. He was definitely a hell of a college player either way.

I've always found it interesting that in some people, great talent seems to be connected to crazy. You see it mostly in musicians (Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, etc etc) where their incredible talent also involved crazy self destructive behavior. Mix in drugs and alcohol and you're done. That sounds like it might have played a role here too. Hope he gets it together and stays sober.
