You've come to the conclusion that John Cohen is classless because he cussed out an umpire and yelled at his pitcher? I bet you're the non athletic type who has never touched a baseball.

I played 2 years of college baseball until I tore both knees up.

What does any of that have to do with this? You don't point at and mouth off to an opposing coach. Also, you don't rail on your pitcher on the mound for the world to see. He has control issues...simple as that. Defending that behavior speaks volumes about you.

Why is a ulala fan trying to get in the middle of a big boy discussion?...oh I know why, his team sucks-& his coach is just as big a douche as Cohen- so he comes to the LSU boards & jumps on the opposition bandwagon to try & live through a team that has a chance at actually being competitive against LSU. Typical ulala fan.

that game wasn't called well at all
the broadcast did a good job of replaying borderline pitches and each time, the call was better on replay than live. of course, typical homer baseball fans were going berserk without the benefit of replay. most everyone is guilty of it including myself.

i get the impression you think the two programs are basically equal. other than size of stadium, there is no way that comparison works out well for state. the only reason it looks close right now is because lsu is basically "down" compared to the last 20 years. in fairness to mainieri, the season is young and the hitting looks slightly improved.

I am not a fan of Cohen's by any means, & what he is as a coach has been defined by his actions/words ever since he's been the HC. But I do respect the State b.ball program & I can assure you CPM & the team does, too. Look at the scores of the past 4-5 games. I'll take a win on the road against a top 10 team anytime, but especially against a team like State. I was suprised at the relatively "low" attendance, however.

It isn't the first time this has happened. He also throws his players under the bus on a regular basis, bitches about any little thing that doesn't go his way and throws bitch fits like a 4 year old girl who doesn't get their way.
This isn't the first time he's acted like this. After LSU swept y'all last year he said that y'all were still the better team after he threw several players under the bus. He never takes responsibility for his bad coaching decisions.

Link? Something newer than 2010 please...

bitches about any little thing that doesn't go his way

Cussing an umpire and players when they make mistakes /=/ "bitching".

quote:

After LSU swept y'all last year he said that y'all were still the better team.

That would be a good story -- only they didn't sweep us last year -- and his bulletin board quote was proven true when he left Mainieri crying like a girl in Hoover.

quote:

after he threw several players under the bus.

Again, link?

No one denies that he's an a-hole. He's OUR a-hole -- and the vast majority of our fanbase prefers his style 10:1 over the "aw shucks" approach that was Ron Polk -- which allowed baseball powerhouses to spring up at our 2 biggest rivals in the sport, despite us having a 10 year headstart(LSU) and 20+ year head start(Ole Miss).

For a game against an "irrelevant" competitor, LSU fans sure are up in arms about us...over a single gimme game that we lost to a much greater extent than they won.

Yeah that game winning 2-run HR was MSU losing more than us winning

Not to even scratch the surface of LSU having 4 errors (which they counted 1), hit MSU 7 times and walked them 3 times. We put MSU on base freely 13 times last night, and they still only managed 4 runs.

Sometimes in baseball, you beat yourself. Last night we did. Simple.

This is interesting. Is your position that Cohen would have prevented Skip Bertman from building up LSU?
