I fully expect Chad Morris to beat Jimbo at some point. A&M will never concede the all-time SEC record to Arkansas, that's an absolute pipe dream, but I think the athletic department finally gets that letting schools from the Lone Star State making Arkansas our bitch isn't good for the piglet brand.

If the Razors have returning talent they will do middle of the pack in conference play, but not great for 2 years. That bastard is they laziest recruiting DC in the SEC.

I still think Chavis is one of the best defensive minds in College football

wow. just wow. Chavis is at his best playing spread teams with passing qb's. but his schemes have not changed ever and good offensive coaches beat him most of the time. he is extremely predictable late in the halves.

his problem is he REQUIRES a great front 7 and is over loyal to his asst.s. I watched as he and brick haley allowed our DL and LB's wither on the vine. maybe he recruited a little better at A&M but I know he didn't recruit shite at LSU.

he is no where near a great defensive mind. he is a good teacher but that's about all.

I've been to Rolondo's twice. The first time I thought it was probably the best authentic latin food I'd ever had. The second it was still good but I just wasn't quite as blown away. An average of the 2 would still fall under very good imho.

I forgot which Bama QB said this but he said they knew, based on field position, and down, when Chavis would blitz and called the right play to beat us at the end of the game. And any fan of any team where Chavis has coached will confirm that 3rd and Chavis is not a myth.

I am so glad Arky didn't hire Gus so you didn't have to quit the forum.

You and me both. I was going to try and accept it but I'm glad I don't even have to bother with that now.

Best LSU news I heard all day. I suspect the the Chief will do exactly what he did at A&M - give up a ton of points to LSU and lose.

I am no Arkansas fan, but I actually feel sorry for Arkansas fans if Chief goes there with Morris' offense.

IMO, Arkie needs topnotch recruiters and Chief is among the worst recruiters ever.

Chavis could end up being DC for half of the teams in the SEC at this rate.

I agree, but we also need someone with a lot of SEC experience somewhere on the staff. Our assistant coaches so far are all young and energetic types (our OC is like 32) and it will be interesting to see who Chavis brings in for his position coaches if it is him.

I read a few weeks ago where Morris was really impressed with Chavis and his adjustments when Clemson played LSU in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in 2012.
