So the school matters? Not the coach? Can we just sticky this thread to the top of the board and rename it "Chavis Butthurt"? We don't even need to call if, " Swamp Kitten Butthurt Over Chavis" even if that's more accurate. The ambiguous title might make y'all think it isn't about y'all. One way or the other it's going to cut down on the clutter this seasons.

Obviously not, because A&M existed in the 90s.

FWIW every school has a unique football culture. LSU has been known since the 50s for having elite defenses. We've also held the "DLU" and "DBU" stigmas since the early 2000s. Texas A&M's Wrecking Crew tradition happened awhile back.

It's going to be exciting when the first two or three teams drop 30 + points on A&M because of defensive play calling, particularly around the two minute mark, lack of execution and the hurry up offense that A&M likes to run.

A&M is going to play a pac12 game in Houston on September 5th and win or lose like 44-41 and the narrative is going to change quickly.

ASU is much like Stanford in their approach to the run game.

It also generally morphs into an attempt from the LSU side to justify Steele being an #upgrade

I'm sorry but it's a rule that when Steele and upgrade are both in the same sentence you must include the name of at least one LSU position coach.

Sweet. So expectations should be sky-high in College Station. Can't wait to see if the Chief can deliver, since clearly talent is not a problem.

I don't think A&M is going to have a great, or even good defense. They don't need to, either. Nobody can realistically argue that Chavis can't field at least a mediocre, respectable defense with the talent at A&M right now. A mediocre defense will make them a great team with the talent they have on offense.

I recognize one name, a mediocre db. That's it. Devante Harris still plays for us so we definitely at least have that much talent.
