Texas A&M isn't, and probably never has been, in the top 20 in all-time program rankings

This is way too easy of a claim to destroy:

A&M is 16th all time in wins, 20th in win percentage, and tied for 20th in national championships.

I also think there's at least one more national championship A&M needs to claim. It came during an undefeated and un-scored-upon season. I was hoping Woodward would make a push for that.

Don't forget that A&M was an all male military institution for much of its history. That makes it difficult to compare apples to apples.

Careful with that line of thinking. The one national title was during that period.

I'm only counting titles since 1936 (poll era)

I think you should include the '97 and '10 conference titles.

Not '99. I got mixed up.

I will say this though, Chavis had this guy in position to make a play, he just failed to do so. Not defending Chavis, but damn man you gotta make plays like that at this level.

this.

Chavis is in the down cycle of a long career, but the biggest reason he's failed is the quality of athletes he's working with and the quality of athletes and style of offense he's partnered with.

OK, fine, so you're barely top 20. Still not as good as LSU at our worst point, at the end of 1999.

Nevermind that even if you want to play that game the farther you go back from 1999 the worst it gets for A&M. That he even tried that bullshite again is absurd.

That includes FCS teams. A&M is 16th in all time wins. LSU is 12th.

Dumbass. That has YALE at 3rd, HARVARD at 10th, PENN at 11th, D2 MOUNT UNION at 17th, and D3 WITTENBERG at 18th.

Last time I checked, 22-6 = 16.

Corndog epic fail.

All time wins is all time wins. Nothing was specified. Besides, at one point some of those schools were competing at the top level.

So I'd say right back atcha.

Historically, LSU is closer to a program like A&M than to Alabama.

Historically, LSU hasn't lost to TAMU since 1995. That's not changing anytime soon.

Never mentioned Mount Union, that's on you. Harvard, Yale, and Penn were all big time once.

TAMU actually has a losing record against Centenary, 3-6. You count those wins still, even though they haven't played football since 1947.

Sheesh.

LSU actually has a losing record against Sewanee, 3-6. You count those wins still, even though they haven't played football since 1940.

Sheesh.

You're making my point for me. Schools like that used to be powers. Which is what I've been saying .

Sheesh.
