Would be interesting to see what the avg PPG, and other typical defensive #s are since 2010. Then compare to previous decades.

I think we'd see a shift in #s, and to many people havent adjusted their thought of what is high and low in todays game.

Chavis is a good coach . His life resume outside his current job suggests that.

Sumlin may be a fairly decent coach as he showed in Houston. A&M tries to blame it all on him but the previous 2-3 coaches had similar issues finishing games and seasons. Can't blame him for that.

A&M needs to temper expectations as to what their long history suggests. Middle of the pack, not horrible but nowhere near elite. This "sleeping giant" thing is just a myth. Accept and move on. Save yourselves a lot of unnecessary anger.

Sumlins teams have always lacked discipline and focus. That is a direct reflection on the man in charge.

had we run the ball and wound the clock down, it was mathematically impossible for UCLA to win.

This is true. Didn't see a presser after the game, but did Sumlin say anything about this?

I won't discredit everything he has done in his career. he wouldn't recruit a lick in his last few years in Baton Rouge. I have a major problem with that. Shows you don't care anymore.

The fact that Sumlin and Chablis still had a job is retarded.

Y'all need to tear that bitch down and rebuild.

A Recent had to publicly call out his peers because there STILL aren't enough votes to fire him now.

I mean what the frick is he doing. He wouldn't even jam the tight end at the LOS after it was clear to the entire stadium who Rosen was throwing to. Makes me throw up. I had chest pains up until yesterday from watching the game

Chavis' defense made no sense in the context of the game. 44 points is plenty to win any game. You are up by 34 points at the half and you've lost your starting QB who built that big lead. The only way UCLA gets back in the game is by passing/big plays. The smart move is to double cover all key receivers and force the Bruins to run the ball and chew up clock. But Noooooo, Chavis loads the box to stop a nonexistent running game and to put pressure on a hot veteran QB who knows how to get rid of the ball quickly and hit open receivers. He did this shite to the bitter end with single coverage on the TE who caught the winning TD pass in the endzone.

shite they should fire Sumlin and make Chavis the interim head coach. Then Chavis should fire the offensive coordinator and move up the tight ends coach to interim offensive coordinator and play caller. The defensive backfield coach should be promoted to defensive coordinator. Then if Chavis wins most of his games the rest of the season, A&M should make him head coach. Hey, don't laugh, this strategy worked well for LSU last season.

I remember when I thought Sumlin was gonna turn A&M into a scary good program.

I was wrong.
