He had to retire after back surgery. After the season he disclosed he had a herniated disc he put up with the entire season.

Quite frankly this is a better get than Fountain imo for State. Alabama ties and a coach that knows what he's doing.

he'll be a coordinator shortly... Joe is gonna turn them over quickly... and not because he is difficult to work with but because they will succeed so well under him teams across the country will be begging to hire them away as head coaches
