Birds of a feather i guess. Klatt is one of the few people who might be a bigger puss than you. Bleeds all over the board for days over auburn, claims auburn has a complex.

That’s because bammers are more worried about us than anyone else.

The series is 51-37, so definitely better for Auburn than one might expect. The series was discontinued from 1908-1947, a period during which Alabama won 266 games and Auburn won 196 games. So the margin would almost certainly be larger if they had played during that time. Auburn also historically did a great job of winning when Alabama was down. They won 6 of the first 7 when football was in its infancy, 5 in a row in the 50s when we sucked with Ears Whitworth, 4 in a row in the late 80s with Curry, and 6 in a row in the early 2000s with Shula (those streaks included other coaches but were mostly the guys I mentioned). So, kudos to them for striking while the iron was hot (no pun intended).

So with that logic, you’d be good with me saying the record is 51-37 because Auburn’s been down the last 15 seasons? (Outside of a few decent years)

Alabama has never beaten a top ten Auburn team. Ever. I don’t think that means anything in terms of program respectability or program comparison.

Who is Joel Klatt and why should I care about his opinion?

No negative intentions or overtones with my question. I honestly don't know who he is and I have seen his name and / or comments posted on this forum.

Auburn alumni make more than Alabama alumni... so how is this a thing in your head?

Nevermind, don't answer. This is a stupid, useless thread.

Outside of YellaWood, who is giving big money to football?

Not really. It's practically the whole focus of their program. The rest of the season is secondary to that game.

If you look at the long stretch where they didn't play, Bama had better teams most of those years. The rivalry would be tilted even more in Alabama's favor.

Bama also has had the luck/ability/whatever you want to call it to have two of the best coaches to ever walk a college sideline lead their program. Not taking anything away from the Bama program overall, but if Bear and Saban had been average coaches that record would be closer.

bullshite. Are you fricking high, or just stupid? Some of us here actually watched Johnny Musso and Alabama beat the ever loving shite out of #4 Auburn with Sullivan and Beasley in 1971. 31-7, kid. And Alabama dominated the time of possession somewhere around 45:00 to 15:00.

Go away and come back when you actually know enough to engage in this conversation.

Yep, that's why we fired the coach who Saban struggled with more than any other coach.

Honestly, even if I had 2 billion dollars, I don't think I would be giving it to a bunch of 19 year old kid and a bunch of basket case admins in Auburn.

1960 #8 Auburn; 1971 #5 Auburn; 1974 #7 Auburn; 1985 #7 Auburn; & 1994 #6 Auburn disagrees.

Klatt is wrong about the Auburn job. I think they've learned their lessons. They just made a bad hire with Freeze.

Auburn played very well against UGA, OK, Baylor, aTm, Mizzou, and Arkansas. They were overachieving which is all you can ask of your team.

Then one stinker of a game and they fire the HC.
