Someone hasn't been paying attention. Bengals oline was playing very well in the secind half of last season until multiple starters went out injured.

By the time they played KC in the AFC Championship they were down 3 starters: Willaims at LT, Collins at RT, and Kappa at RG. Plus Ted Karras the C playing through an injury.

And they still came within a field goal of making a second straight Super Bowl.

And don't look now, but Bengals signed Orlando Brown at LT this offseason. Big upgrade at LT over Williams. And kept the rest of last year's starter together for extra depth this coming year.

Oline is coming together nicely in Cincy

And the refs had to bail out the chiefs...

just like Hurts prefers Oklahoma over Bama.

Burrow vs Hurts is man vs a boy

Hurts never won the heisman nor a natty at OU and isn’t the greatest QB in the history of college football like Burrow. Lmao

Yep. Incredible that the Bengals were competitive with the Chiefs with 3 of 5 OL starters on the sideline. The extra experience and depth at OL this season is going to be a game changer for the Bengals.

You think Joe Burrow is the greatest QB in college football history?

Don't hit the QB 2yards out of bounds and no flag will be thrown.

Don't [lightly push a protected celebrity superstar QB of a favored NFL franchise slightly] out of bounds and no flag will be thrown.

Went ahead and amended that statement for you.

Contact was initiated before Mahomes even put a foot down out of bounds. Let's cool it with the "2 yards out of bounds" exaggerations.

And it wasn't a hard or dirty hit, it was a light push on the shoulder to make sure Mahomes didn't turn upfield at the last second and take off, and Mahomes took a fricking dive.

NO WAY that gets called against at that point in that game for a non-celebrity QB. NFL favoritism through and through.

I know when I push someone in front of me forward at a full run, my arms ALWAYS end up straight back behind me. /end sarcasm

Is it burrow or is it chase? Burrow couldn't even win the OSU job and had arguably the best season ever with chase at louisiana state.

His rookie year was cut short and he has been elite every year since...... with chase.

Also a fair question.

When Chase went out injured for a spell this past year, Higgins stepped up and Burrow and the rest of the offense didn't miss a beat. Not determinative proof of anything, but worth noting.

Thankfully the Bengals are intent on resigning both Burrow and Chase (and Higgins) so we won't have to find out the answer to your question anytime soon!

Is it Mahomes or is it Reid? The two are undoubtedly an elite tandem when paired together, but Mahomes wasn't the Mahomes he is now until NFL legend offensive mastermind Andy Reid perfectly tailored an offense to fit Mahomes' exact skillset. I'm not sold that Mahomes would be the elite player he is under any other coach.

Jesus man.

There is no way you watch Mahomes and think this. He pulls shite out of his arse constantly and you’re going to say this lmao

I'll be curious as time passes if anyone ends up ahead of Matt Stafford in career earnings anytime soon.

Stafford was the second to last first overall pick before they put rookie contracts in place. With that huge head start and the fact he played well enough to continue signing big contracts, it will be interesting to see if anyone can catch him.

He's actually in second right now, but Rogers has played 4 more years and has just 5 million more in career earnings. Once Rogers retires, Stafford will pass him the first additional year he plays.

Stafford was very lucky in that he got in before the rookie contracts.

So far we've had two of the " highest-paid player in NFL history" phenomena in the last few weeks.

Jalen Hurts and a few weeks later Lamar Jackson. So exactly what's the big deal about the next franchise QB that signs?

The real question is what teams that sign them have the personnel savvy to keep making inroads to the Super Bowl?
