Akers went to FSU because Ole Miss had to put a stop payment on the check after the NCAA came knocking.

The NFL MVP went off. shite happens. They beat their rival Florida, won the Orange Bowl, and finished #8. No one calls that a disaster.

A&M fans will NEVER admit that they were wrong. Everyone told them about Chavis. Everyone told them about Sumlin. Everyone told them Woody would leave for LSU as soon as it opened up.
You have a cupcake schedule this year. Anything less than 10 wins should be unacceptable. I believe Jimbo loses 4 games this season and Elko jumps ship bc he can see the writing on the wall. Losses—-Bama, Auburn, LSU and one to an underdog.

OP was clearly listing the 2016 season for context. 10-3 to 5-6 is a disastrous fall.

Only Aggy wouldn’t call a 43 point beat down on national TV a disaster.

Yugo was just a little extra dig for our friends in the Lonestar state LOL.

The foundation at FSU was solid....the bells and whistles were dinged up a bit but all it took was a some spit and polish. The foundation needs to be built at TAM....the potential is as good as it is anywhere.....there is no doubt in my mind....but TAM needs a builder, not a janitor. I could be wrong but TAM is in the SEC West...if you ain't one of the best 3 teams in the country you are going to look pretty mediocre in the SEC west right now....Cause between Alabama, Auburn and LSU 2 of the 3 are going to be pretty damned close to the top 3 in the country every season....toss in the potential at Ole Miss and it is TOUGH

They're used to it. 43 point losses are better than 59 and 77 point losses, progress!

His wife was doing the players, so he got out of there.

It is funny to watch am fans blame their lack of draft picks on Sumlin. Bet they don't apply that philosophy to FSU's situation
Yeah the whole "A&M had no upper class talent to be drafted" seems absolutely stupid. It's not like Fisher was dealt no talent when he got to A&M.
In 2017, A&M had the 15th most talented roster per 247 sports recruiting rankings. They had the #11, #18 and #13 recruiting classes in 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively. Kinda feel like those 3 classes should have produced more than 12 draft picks the last 3 years with a rather embarrassing 2 this year...they had 4 players declare early and only 1 got drafted

It's funny how Texas does something similar in 2018, and aggy says "it's nothing to be proud of; you lost 4 games and couldn't beat OU the second time and none of the teams you played wanted to be there."
When their coach did something similar in 2016 (at a different school not named A&M) "he lost to the heisman winner and still won a NY6 bowl. No one calls that a disaster."
Meanwhile, A&M hasn't accomplished winning, or even playing in, an NY6 bowl yet

Look and random horn comes in and tried to make it about them. What are you babbling about?

Literally every line typed was about a&m fans or jimbo fisher.
Coming from a fan who's school song has more lines about their rival (who is no longer even an opponent) than themselves, I can understand this confusion.

Not sure. Seems to be doing pretty damn well at A&M recruiting. Not sure what FSU has to do with him at this point....
