This is not true at all.

Seems like he intentionally fricked over FSU for the foreseeable future and somehow leveraged that into a $75M contract with a different school.

Running a scam on not one, but two schools? Now that's a fricking boss move right there.

Was it his recruiting "a disaster"?

2015 class #3 (four 5*, ten 4*)
2016 class #3 (one 5*, seventeen 4*)
2017 class #6 (four 5*, eight 4*)

Because those guys ended up being one of the most underachieving groups of highly recruited players ever? Both in terms of wins and actual talent per the NFL draft?

Not sure. Seems to be doing pretty damn well at A&M recruiting. Not sure what FSU has to do with him at this point

I never mentioned A&M

2017 was terrible. Injuries to QBs can cause some pretty bad damage when you have to rely on a freshman. I can't say I followed that team all that closely.

Those 3 classes will likely end up having ~9 guys going in the draft. I haven't checked if any of them stuck via free agent and don't really care to. Do we care that much?

It's not great, but I don't think disqualifies the previous accomplishments or how things are going now (like how they're trending). Minor chink in the armor of a pretty good coach.

I'd truly like to hear a behind the scenes story on it all. There were obviously a lot of factors at play

- Jimbo's personal life
- FSU refusing to act like a football power with facilities and salaries
- the post-Jameis situation

It just seemed like a snowball that kept piling up as it rolled down hill.

I would too. We all love shitstorms. Clearly, something was amiss as A&M was able to get him to leave FSU wen Lsu couldn’t after trying for 2 years. We know there was infidelity with Jimbo’s wife. The divorce couldn’t have been pretty. The fanbase turning. Jimbo had an outburst with one. Willie T not being the savior, like at all. Just bad.

Yep, and throwing all that on top of the illness stuff with their son. Just a whole lot of stuff going on.

I can't imagine the sigh of relief he let out when he started fresh that first day at A&M.

He got away from that mess, brought his new chick and kids to Texas. Gets paid. Never has to worry about facilities. Has a fanbase overjoyed and supportive.

But the honeymoon is over. Time to win.

That’s a Will Wade gangsta move.

Kevin Sumlin had one total player drafted out of the 31 he signed in the 2013 class (his first full class).

THAT is a disaster.

The only draft eligible player signed since Fisher arrived at A&M was a 2-star player who signed as a 3rd round pick and scored a TD in the NFC Title Game.

Out of the 2018 and 2019 classes, the following players will almost assuredly be drafted. (I'm no draft expert so I don't know what round)

2018

Bobby Brown
Jeremiah Martin
Luke Matthews
Tank Jenkins
Jace Sternberger (3rd Round 2019 Draft)

2019

Kenyon Green
Demarvin Leal
Baylor Cupp
Brian Williams
Demani Richardson
Erick Young
Isaiah Spiller
Elijah Blades
Andre White
Derick Hunter
Jalen Wydermyer
Ainias Smith

LSU had a good AD that thought Jimbo was a loser and passed on him, which made lsu fans mad.
