Sumlin lost the West by 5 points to LSU in 2012..
Had they won that game.. they win the division.. they likely win the SEC.. and maybe get to play ND for the NC.. who they likely beat..
Has Jimbo been within 5 points of winning the West?

Les Miles won a national title, and should have won another if not for rematches allowed for one school, in the SEC.
Jimbo's natty came from an ACC school that played Auburn in the title game, after Auburn had lost to LSU by 14 the same year
