Assuming Ole Miss and Arkansas are going to keep their upward trajectory, it’d be nice to play them and Texas A&M in November every year.

People are giving you shite. But it's actually pretty decent overall.

Id like Ole Miss, Texas, and Oklahoma.

True.
But any 3 are easy when you’re one of the only 2 elite teams who’d don’t play each other annually.

Drop faggie and add Arkansas and you have the most fun division/pod in all of football

Pair up 2 pods each year & best team of each 8-school group is an SEC contestant.
There are a ton of options. To me, I'd rather see a semi-final game in Dallas and Atlanta with the championship game rotated between Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville, and New Orleans (or some sort of variation of that), but you could do divisional winners, best record, whatever. I just view divisions, an 8-game schedule, and the SEC Championship game as the basic ingredients that made the modern SEC what it is, so why would you change that? Furthermore, in addition to the 8-game model keeping everyone in contention for the bowls, a divisional championship is a nice benchmark for each team to reach. (With sixteen teams in the conference, stuff like this is going to matter more.)

Oh, hell no. Just because you are probably too young to realize, don’t make it untrue. Arkansas is our #1 historic rival. Not OU, certainly not A&M. The level of hate of those days when Texas and Arkansas were fighting for far greater things than bragging rights created a true rivalry. Something that I would agree has built up with OU, but the absolute hate for OU does not really hit home. And as far as A&M, the games never meant that much because of a historical quirk of both teams not being in a position to claim a national title at the same time when the game was played. That is a HUGE factor in creating real hate. Arkansas, aside from being just unbelievably annoying, actually had the ability to beat Texas when both teams were at the top of the mountain. And those games were epic, win or lose.

But pairing 2 pods of 4 gives you a group of 8 (which would be like divisions) & the best team in each would go to the SECCG.
My idea is the same except you have a different group of 8 teams for 3 years before repeating.
Y1 - AB / CD
Y2 - AC / BD
Y3 - AD / BC

You know how much money Bama-LSU has made the conference since Saban joined?
Its annually one of the highest rated games of the season.
I'd be shocked if ESPN let them do anything that would impact that game being played every year.
Like it or hate it, all of this is about money and ratings.

In the jungle, the new alpha goes directly to the current alpha and challenges him. We want Bama so we can show the SEC we're the new kings.
Texas has to show that its even going to consistently be a top tier SEC team and you want to talk about being the alpha?
You need to fight your way through UGA, LSU, UF, OU, A&M and the rest before you even have a shot at being alpha around here.

I meant it's easy to pick which 3 teams would be your permanent rival. Not they're easy games.

Thats the only reason it was ever a big deal. What happens when Saban retires?

I'd be shocked if ESPN let them do anything that would impact that game being played every year. It only really matters to LSU fans and the networks playing up the Saban thing. The rest of the country doesn't care.

Arkansas
OU
Kentucky

Kentucky

Hypothetically, if Arkansas and Mizzou don’t get matched up - fingers crossed.
What other team would you want? What other team would you expect?

Still need more information to understand what this would look like.
If they are talking about a 3-6 with three fixed and six rotating after a home and away? You will also be de facto determining the entire perpetually repeating four year schedule.
If you have a 3-5 and finish a full rotation in six years? That would be a different option that would also have to be figured out at the time of schedule drop. With three fixed in mini divisions you would have one semi permanent out of division plus the four teams in another pod (and rotate pods after every home & away).
