Florida State was an all women’s college for the first half of its existence.

How’s that for an identity.

So? Is that what people think of when they think of FSU? No. No it is not. They think of the Seminoles.

Would be a home run hire. I’m still mad LSU couldn’t close the deal on him

Which really doesnt mean shite when you walk into each program’s facilities, see the numbers break down first hand, and take in all the vibrant atmosphere of a half full stadium that has a capacity of 84,000 in Tallahassee.

It looks like Woodward may actually be allowed to make the hire - this is a first. If so, I actually think he has the pull and relationship to bring in Fisher.

And I'm pretty sure the money group have zero issues with that. New era at A&M if the AD has autonomy

Not quite. Maybe 500. But you're still a couple hundred behind in the series, son.

Just don't muck up your hire or, as history has shown, you're set to lose another couple hundred to the Hogs.

Cuz Aggy is dumb. Like for real. Can't get out of their own way.

It was asked earlier, and got covered in the bickering. How much stock should be put into FSU's performance this year?

Last year I would have been ecstatic to hear Jimbo was considering making the jump to A&M. This year I don't know what to think. He's proven he can win a championship, is a splash hire that would likely keep recruiting from taking a hit, cares about defense, and runs an offense that I'm a fan of when it's on, but the performance this year, and losses to teams like UH (I know they were good, and would have waxed A&M, but still) raises flags for me. Curious to hear what other fan bases think.

What about when I walk into each Programs facilities and go look at the Trophy Case? A&M has no winning tradition. None. It is awful. They make Auburn look like the New England Patriots in that regard. Think about that for a minute.

Jimbo absolutely would be a great hire for A&M.

I think he’s had a tremendously difficult couple of years in his personal life and needs a fresh start. I also think they were banking on being able to count on Francois, and when he went down - Fisher lost the locker room while trying to improvise. It’s just time for him to move on, IMO. I think he is a good coach. Not as good as LSU fans were pumping him up to be this time last year, but good nonetheless.

You don’t move from FSU to Texas A&M. Unless something weird happened

Pretty spot on assessment. Would be a good move for both parties IMO.

Any aTm fan that wouldn't want Jimbo at aTm is a damn moron...especially considering what you've had for the last half a decade+.

Not entirely true. They rank 16th in overall wins. 26th in all time win percentage. 18th in bowl appearances. 24th in consensus All Americans. 18th in Draft picks. 15th in 1st round draft picks. 19th in number of weeks ranked in the AP Top 25. And they’ve got the same number of Heisman winners as Alabama.

They don’t have the prestige of Texas or Alabama, but they have a foundation to build on and the resources to do it.

If Sexton lines up the A$M job I can see the school and Jimbo parting ways with no buyout on either side.
