Greatness has never been there. Hanging new lights, wall paper, flat screens, and furniture within your program doesn't create greatness. If your listed criteria were the formula for success, Oregon would have 5 natties by now.
Facilities was only a part of my post, but you’re responding as if I said that’s the only thing that matters.
They have more money, a bigger fan base and alumni base, and far better academics. None of those things are surface level facades. I can’t think of anything in which Florida State would have the advantage over TAMU - except maybe the sex appeal of the co-eds.

Lol you have no idea what you're talking about. We were so behind the times facilities wise until like 2011-12
Behind whom? Certainly nobody in the BIG XII.

A&M was behind all but Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, and Kansas State. Even Baylor was in the process of having better facilities than A&M.

If A&M is such a better job, with better recruiting grounds, better facilities, and better alumni to pull strings, why is FSU so much more successful in the last couple of decades?
Honestly because we have been a hot mess in the administration since forever. It's not a resource problem, it's a culture problem in our AD. There has been a significant culture shift in the AD since the move to the SEC (case in point Wally Groff as AD during my time vs Woodward now, completely different goals/philosophies). We certainly aren't there as the process is ongoing, but the barometer used to measure "success" has changed for the entire fanbase.
That being said, I don't fault those who doubt us, we have suffered low ROI athletically for as long as I can remember. I would counter that when an institution has the resources that we do, and a renewed culture, that history does not have to be indicative of future success.
We may continue to fall short, that's certainly a very real possibility, but to simply point to history as the sole factor in predicting future success seams a bit myopic.

It's astonishing to me that you would say that. Aren't you a Bama fan? And YOU, of all people, can't think of anything by which FSU would have an advantage over TAMU? Nothing at all huh?

See? Even Aggies know what the root of their problem is, like I told ya.

I think he'll be coaching the Bucs soon. Going to A&M would be a lateral move.

FSU has what maters which is Championships. All this talk about 'money' and 'facilities' is a cover for A&M being a cow college that has very little to none winning tradition. Little Brother defined.

Oh really?
Our facilities were trash. That's why we're just now completing the renovation. So were Texas', and they just renovated theirs. Baylor and Okie State had better facilities than everybody when you left.

Behind programs with similar financial resources around the country. And as another poster said, it's never been a money problem, it's been how much of a mess our AD and admistration is. Our boosters ran the AD, and they cared (hopefully past tense is correct here) about their access to the program, their power within the program and yucking it up with their buddies at the stadium than winning and having a successful football program.
You have no idea what you're talking about if you think we've been committed to winning for the last 60 years. That's been the exception for that time period and not the norm

This Bama fan gets it, like a Bama fan should, because it's the same at......Bama. What FSU has.....is an IDENTITY/CULTURE. They are Champions.
Jesus....just the name Tuscaloosa is an identity. The first thing that pops into your damn head is the Tide. = IDENTITY

and that outweighs everything else. Same reason LSU is stuck with O.

Owen Field > Kyle Field until 2014.

This is true.
Fortunately we are soon to be firing our retard and chief. Things should return to normalcy now and if history is any indicator, you guys will go straight back to losing to the Hogs.
Or not. Just think, if the current trend keeps up, you guys will catch up in a decade.
Good luck on the coaching hire. Try not to Aggy it up this time

I don't disagree, but I did use past tense

Literally nothing that matters long term. Perhaps you could make an argument for that Championship from several years ago if you wanted. Don’t think that trophy matters so much when you walk into FSU’s stadium and it’s basicslly one level and half empty.

Arkansas has beaten your shitty school like 700 times in our series.

You're so full of shite. Texas HS is a pipeline for Big 12 offensive play. Always has been and always will be a finesse brand of football.
