They only scored 13 points against LSUs shitty defense. 7 of the 20 points scored was on a pick 6.

Not in the playoffs so they won't finish higher than #5.

Yea a 4 year starter who was almost a top 100 prospect. What a miracle indeed. Is this a real post?

I mean Alabama is #1 in the country right now with a guy who was in the 300s. LSU won a national title with a guy who was in the low 200s/300s. OSU won a national title with a 3rd string QB.

The difference is those other 3 won national titles or got damn close at least (we will see with Jones)

I think you’re seriously underestimating the incompetence of Mond. Granted he has played better this season. And by better I mean like a freshmen QB who finally settled in towards the end of the season. He was the one thing that has held this team back for nearly 4 years. Even with an elite Oline the guy can still barely ever make a long down field pass.

You have to give Jimbo credit for a great season and also for not punching out Mond during his career. Jimbo showed a lot of discipline for 3 years. Everytime Mond came off the filed to Jimbo met him at the near the hash to ask why in the hell he did what he just did. Those glasses just added to the story. Good stuff.

I mean maybe I am, but A&M is in a QB haven state and hasn't out recruited Mond since 2017, so someone must think he's good. There have been multiple QBs who are starters at P5 programs from the state since I would assume and A&M hasn't replaced Mond with any of them.

Like Fisher should have recruited a better guy in the 2019 class and could have easily started in the fall of 2020. That may be a Fisher problem

The thing that TAMU is missing, and it's pretty much the only thing I can see, is explosive receivers. That's not usually a Jimbo problem and go back before the season and their playoff possibilities were dramatically hurt with their opt-outs at the position. The LOS is pure SEC grade A. His gameplan with Monds was masterful in that he played and coached to his strengths.

When you recruit and build your program from within and coach to that strength you are going to make lots of noise. Like it or not that program has legs.

I don't know A&Ms roster up and down, but didn't they sign one of the top 3 WRs in the country last year? How did he play this year? I would have expected they could have 2-3 4* guys who could at least be competent even if they had opt outs.

We have a 5* receiver who hasn't played since his JR year in high school. He did play last night, but wasn't targeted once. Mond has his favorites. They only receivers he throws to are the ones he is comfortable with, and they aren't as good as the ones behind his class- but they got the job done

One thing a lot of A&M fans are happy for with King is that we will get to see all those explosive recruited receivers next few year. Hell, King threw a TD to a converted DE to TE in the SC game during mop-up time. He sees the field so much better, and surprisingly doesn't panic for a true fish with no training camp at all

I’ve never been sold on the idea of A&M being a playoff caliber team.

I could argue that they’re deserving of it considering the circumstances of ND and OSUs seasons, but not that they’re a better team.

That being said, who are you going to put above a 9-1 team? I’d argue that Clemson deserves to fall out of the top 5.

Hey congrat's on getting rid of that graphic about not finishing in the top 4 since 1940.

And Dan Mullen is gonna finish #15 with Kyle Trask at QB.
