I don’t think anyone other than Rant posters took Sterk literally. And it’s pretty normal for ADs to talk “PR language” especially at this time of the year. Scrooster just has a hard on for Sterk based on an incident that Sterk had with South Carolina.

Fair enough ... and true enough. I despise him after that stunt he pulled. The only thing that made it even somewhat satisfying was that the arbiter ordered him to pay Dawn Staley's legal bills and issue an apology, and Dawn was strong armed by the league office to let the race baiting POS off the hook.

This guy is morally bankrupt.

The best message Sterk needs to put out there for potential coaches is that his facilities suck arse, potential recruiting grounds barren, and that his job is overall terrible. Should be a great strategy to attract coaching talent.

We're as good or better than anyone who hasn't recently been a powerhouse.

you're an old fricking idiot lol. You don't even know what's going at Mizzou, much less around you each moment.

I think he thought it would endear him to the fan base. We all just thought it was weird.

Is this true? These are the only facilities I’m concerned with when contemplating attending an away game.

I'll never forget it. My wife and I were at the game, had taken my little 97 year old Aunt to the game and were literally sitting right behind the bench. When the game was over Dawn wanted to take a picture with my Aunt on the court and we immediately turned to walk off the court right behind your girls because we go out that way, to parking, behind the CLA. We heard nothing. Not from your girls, not from our fans. Except my goddaughter with her roommate yelling at me and waving above the tunnel and my Aunt waving back to her and laughing.

Two days later the shtf and we were like "wut?" "That didn't happen."

Craziest thing ever. And we have seen some crazy stuff, on both sides, in the SC - CU rivalry, in every sport. But this one was so out of left field.

Then Sterk chimes in and everyone here caught in the camera shot was being interviewed, including us, and we could not believe it.

Oh well.

Strange times.

Something like that should never be brought into SEC sports. This region of the country caught shite for crap for decades and it was a low blow by Sterk. Made no sense whatsoever.

And then the NYT picks up on the story and then the AJC. Then, thankfully, the local paper and the Philly paper (Dawn's hometown) comes to her defense and started asking logical questions.

Then Dawn sues, and she is pissed, and she holds a press conference and now we're being asked if we would come in if deposed. I told my wife you couldn't make up crap like what was happening. And my little old 97 year old Aunt, one of the most famous lawyers in the history of this state and a lady Gamecock basketball fan since the 60s ... she actually starts getting fired up. She starts making calls and that's when somebody on Mizzou's end realized they poked the wrong 80 pound little civil rights attorney bear.

It went way too far and I will probably always despise the guy (Sterk) for it ... can't help it.

My Aunt died not long after that, the following August, and they brought her another signed basketball and she died with that thing. Hated she had to experience that kind of nonsense on her last trip to see her girls play in the CLA.

What’s the facility for and is it as nice as some of the newer facilities?

I know that is completely subjective and absolutely a biased/loaded question but does it stack up?

They upgraded and admittedly got better in the facilities department. They are now on a level where most of the programs in the league were 20 years ago.

Good for them.

Ok scrooster, I take back my harsh reply earlier. My great-aunt lived to be 97 and I wish I had the opportunity to take her to a game. She didn't care for sports, but she was excited when I was excited. Ladies that age are as tough as nails. They don't make them like that anymore.

Again, apologies for the earlier reply. Kudo's to you for taking her.

What do you want an AD to say? We have the 9th best football facilities in the SEC after our $100,000,000 EndZone addition!

He said he thinks Mizzou should be a perennial top 25 team. That’s fair isn’t it? When teams win a game do you want the fans to hold up a sign that says, “We are #24!!!” No they all say we are #1. It’s fandom and everyone paid big money to do something is part salesman. Get a grip.

What did you expect him to say? We should consistently compete with South Carolina for 5th in the east? That shite would just be depressing

If you care about womens basketball in the slightest you are a complete loser. Given how triggered SC fans still are 2 years later, I wouldnt be surprised if they were throwing around racial slurs; they clearly get fired up about this kind of shite
