I’m on break at work I’m sorry if this is Germans but I found this while searching for some Ole Miss . It’s basically about Jevan and how he didn’t remember any of his football at Ole Miss or any of his childhood after the concussions.

I completely forgot he died. Very sad story about him developing those dementia issues at such a young age.

holy crap i don't remember him dying at all. Damn that sucks. He always seemed like he might break through and play on an NFL roster as a backup.

I had no idea he had passed, and didn't have a clue that he would take his own life. Even as an LSU fan, I was a Snead fan.

Damn it, that is so sad.

I was at a bar in Dallas right before closing time about four years ago. He saw my Ole Miss shirt and started talking to me and a friend. He was the nicest guy. I met his family in the grove by accident when I was still in school. They were awesome too. RIP Jevan. Prayers to his family.

When he didn't arrive to pick up a friend up at the airport, his loved ones feared the worst and called Austin police. Officers forced their way into his apartment. There, they found Jevan Snead's body. He had taken his own life by hanging himself.

In the months before his death, Jevan Snead told his family he wanted his brain donated to research, hoping doctors would learn something that could better protect the next generation of football players.

Damn.

I remember him getting killed after throwing an interception in the cotton bowl against Oklahoma State. He came back in later in the game but no way in hell would he be allowed to enter a game after taking a hit like that in today’s game.

Thanks for sharing Craig86. This is extremely heartbreaking. I don't care who you are, this is something that brings you to a sad place. God bless his family and friends.

I understand no one likes the new rules. This is all you need to see to understand why they must stay in place.

The word here in Austin was that it was over a girl.

Terrible situation any way you spin it. Prayers sent for all families involved.

Jevan was an absolute warrior on the field and I will always respect the hell out of him. Gone too soon.

Concussions and any kind of brain injuries are scary as hell to me. The actor Frankie Muniz can't remember filming any of Malcolm in the Middle at all. He's only 34, bus hashad several concussions and been in a couple of bad accidents as a pro race car driver, and apparently he also suffers from mini-strokes
