Damn so maybe Tenn did fire him for real cause and not just as a way to dodge a buyout.
The sport just makes you so damn cynical. Learning lesson for me if he fails in court.

I want to know what settlement he was offered. If it was less than 75% of his buyout Tenn’s deserves this.
I have no idea

I will give you credit, I wish the Rant would have gotten into this situation more and despite your best efforts it just didn’t float here.
Kinda like how UF fired the Shark fricker. I still can’t believe they got away with that though I guess it wasn’t as egregious.

Pruitt and his attorney are walking a fine line right now.
Pruitt didn't say it, the attorney did
Pruitt can fire that attorney and grab another one

I'd just like to know what you think Pruitt's cause of action is. You've been white knighting for him for nearly a year and you've yet to provide any actual basis as to what UT doing as violating the terms of Pruitt's contract or stated any actual defense for him. I honestly have no idea why you're so invested in defending him. Never has he denied committing NCAA violations, which is a black and white issue in his contract as cause for termination

Well, first off, I'm not getting paid to be a message board poster, and two, the burden of proof is not on the employee, it's on the employer

Yes, he did

and you must be a corporate attorney, because you are white knighting for the man and you don't care if UT has been specific about any of their public accusations
UT, with the Tennessee media in cahoots with them, have disparaged the shite out of Pruitt's name without being specific about anything he's supposedly done
you've got Tenner posters on here running around quoting weak press conference speak as "proof of what Pruitt did"

It's not defamation if it is true. If there was some clause in his contract saying he can't discuss anything about his employment at TN then he would be in violation of a contract which is wildly different than defamation. He would still have civil legal risk but it would be worse PR and monetary situation for UT because NCAA has power too.

But doesn't acknowledging all of these violations and not reporting them just make it more likely he will get a show-cause?
And even if the attorney drops this, it could still be something the NCAA brings up now.

Also I would think if University officials were involved there is some legal recourse because they aided and abetted him and could even be argued they pressured him to violate NCAA rules which would put UT in jeopardy and void the with cause firing. This would be disastrous for the university.
Not surprising though the only thing you can make something burnt tasted decent is to add some mustard to it.

There is no institution that exists that can do more harm to Tennessee football than Tennessee has done to itself. Ole Miss got punished twice in a decade by the NCAA for the same type of shite and you could argue the last ten years have been their best in 50 years. Same for Baylor. Hell even Penn State and Ohio State came out of their violations with elite programs. Jerome gets a few boosters ousted, and you could argue that long term that HELPS Tennessee, even if the punishment lasts a whole cycle.

He could give a rats arse about a show cause... He is works in the NFL.

While that may be true... The guys OM paid were difference makers... Not sure anyone Tennessee paid has been much of a difference maker.

You seriously think he doesn't want back into college, at least as a DC?
