That was Arkansas' most impressive accomplishment last season

Defense grew up. I acknowledged that in my edit. Arky's defense manned the f up later in the season.

In that video, Malzahn called a lot of quick hitters. If he sticks to that strategy, with Johnson's height and quick release, it's going to be hard to get any kind of effective pass rush on Auburn. This is one time that I believe they will live up to the hype. They're going to be hard to handle.

I remember he threw 6 TDs and 5 ints against sec competition in 2009. Not exactly great stats.
You mean you googled that. If you remember that then you define "Aubsession"
Either way Chris Todd isn't 1/5 the QB Jeremy Johnson is, so using that modest math JJ should have 30 TD to 1 INT in SEC play.
Todd also wasn't 1/1000000 the athlete JJ is. He barely had enough mobility to drop back.
Todd got benched by Kodi Burns in 2008 and then Malzahn came in 2009 and Todd set AU passing records. That should tell you something about Malzahn. Todd was God awful.

That's when a team with good press corners will make your life hell though.

Arkansas motto "Well we almost beat ya" right next to Berts "I'm hungry"

I think the offense can still be good with a passing QB like Johnson. I think the concern would be defense. Will a passing offense hurt the defense even more then the hurry up rushing offense has. Time of possession could be a killer.

Not an issue if you are completing passes. Auburn was middle of the pack in TOP last year,

I think Jeremy will run the ball but certainly not like Nick.
With the running back group we have I wouldn't mind seeing some Wildcat stuff like he did with McFadden.

Auburn's defense is going to wreck teams on the back end of their schedule with their defense if Lawson and Cowart are healthy.

Gus Malzahn is a good coach and will adapt his system to his player's strengths.
Lets hope he can do it before 4 games into the season this time.

A little off topic but I think Gus got too cute with Nick last year trying to prove he was a deep passer.

I hope so. Lack of a pass rush was the biggest factor of our defensive shitfest last year. It really put our average DBs in a tough spot.
