Jeff Long is a moron (Although Bama should be ranked over UF)

He tweets his justification for having Bama ranked over Florida is that Bama has 3 wins over .500 or better teams and Florida only has 2.
Florida has 5 victories over .500 or better teams and a top 10 schedule.
How do you make that big of an error and expect to be taken seriously?

Bama is 2-1 w/ combined score of 94-67.
Florida is 3-0 w/ combined score of 93-40.

Maybe he doesn't count FCS teams? I'm not sure if that would even change the stats.

It's pretty clear he meant "over .500". Otherwise Bama still beats Florida with 6, sorry.

That's because you're smarter than most of the goofballs here. In last year's initial CFP poll, Mississippi State was #1 and Ohio State was #16.

Florida has just as much of a case as Bama to that 4 spot right now. Too bad for Bama after this weekend their current ranking will be moot.

You're missing the point. Everyone knows that the rankings will change by the time the season ends, but it is a fricking sham that this is the best they could do given the current resumes of the teams involved.
Rankings such as these give me little to no faith that they will get it right in the final poll, and that should matter to everyone.

If Florida wins out (including the SECCG), they're in. Likewise for Alabama. Faith has nothing to do with it.
