Tommy Rees. Our OC was not ready for primetime. Had BAMA been able to hire Grubbs away from Washington last season it would have been an offense set up for Jalen's skillset from the get-go. The spring game was a picture of what's coming and it will be different.
Except it's not. If you look at Penix, they don't have much in common.

And still couldn't stop him.
Stop is a very relative term. You won the game and he made some plays when he had to at the end.
But you literally went a quarter and a half, just like you did in most all your games with little to no offense at all. And that came back to bite you in the playoff.
192 yards passing, 29 yards rushing vs. UGA.
Our problem was offense in that game mostly. After an opening TD drive we did nothing until the fourth quarter.

I could be wrong, but I imagine they would have tailored the offense to his skill set, not replicate Penix

Can they? At the big time schools all we know is Deboer with Penix or Jake Haener. Neither of those dudes are like Milroe at all.

He looked nothing more than average against UT.

So what you're saying is it could have been a lot worse than 27 to 0. We'll try to do better next Oct.
Yeah...if he hadn't thrown a pic and completed more than 65% of his passes, it could have been a lot worse.
For the record, Milroe threw 1 TD in the 2nd half. The rest of the scoring was 2 FGs, a fumble recovery TD and a drive that started on UT's side of the field where they couldn't stop the run. Bama's defense scored more points than UT did in the 2nd half. Fortunately, Joe Milton won't be under center this go around.

He did nothing impressive in the spring game.

I think he'll be fine but not stellar.

I'm not buying. As good as Tua, Mac andYoung were at passing, why was he not good? Had to win the job by default it seems.
I give him and the Alabama coaches credit last year for getting everything they could out of him and figuring out how to dumb down the offense to take advantage of his strengths and limit his weaknesses. But I'm betting you guys will have him on the bench at some point this year, just like last. He may have to come back and start because of what's behind him.
But you are likely an alter, so your post doesn't make me think any less of the Bama fanbase.
He was good enough to beat Georgia last year, and he's not going to get worse.
You might want to worry about improving your own team so they don't get beat by a QB that "won the job by default".

I agree, if that's Jalen catching the ball.

Milroe completed 3 of 9 or 10 passes in the spring game. That pass that you posted is the only o e that he hit the receiver in stride. The long pass near the goal line the receiver had to adjust to, otherwise it could have been a td.

Didn’t you want Milroe benched last fall? Didn’t you say he was trash and Alabama wouldn’t accomplish anything with him at quarterback?
I swear I seem to remember that.
But between you, shaft and opry, it is hard to keep up with made up Alabama fans.

I was replying to the guy that said that he didn't do anything impressive, and I thought that that was an impressive throw.

My bad. Incredible completed pass under spring game pressure. Heisman is locked up.

CKD won’t keep Milroe out there if Milroe plays like he did last season.

Milroe didn’t beat UGA. The OL beat UGA along with the refs who gave Milroe a completion before halftime to Bond that was an incompletion.
